I loved this hotel. While it looked outdated, it was well maintained and felt very comfortable. I got upgraded to a lake view with my loyalty status and the view was amazing. Staff was also amazing and very friendly, helped me to book activities. Outdoor pool is not heated but you can use one of the 2 hot pools. View from the bar/restaurant was also incredible. While you are not in the city center, place is great and quiet, I can only say as a downside that parking was not free but the fee is reasonable. Would recommend to stay here if you visit Queenstown, and would definitely come back
Other than the location and the view, our experience was disappointing due to cleanliness and housekeeping standards. A toothpick was left in the room and remained there for the entirety of our stay, which raises concerns about how thoroughly the room was cleaned. Towels had visible hairs on them, and bed sheets were only changed after four days and only upon request. The cups in the room were also not replaced.nnConsidering this was not a budget accommodation, the hygiene standards were well below what we would expect for the price.nnAdditionally, the hotel appeared to be heavily understaffed. On multiple occasions, we were unable to get breakfast in time, and there was no staff available to ask for fresh scrambled eggs at the buffet. As a result, we had to leave the hotel to get breakfast elsewhere.nnOverall, while the location is good, the service and cleanliness did not justify the cost of the stay. And the view, you can pretty much get at any hotel on the coastline.
The room with the lake view was exceptional and enjoyable.nThe carpets were dirty and stained. Very disappointing !!nThe parking on premises was surprisingly not included in the stay and was charged although there was no free slots most of the time and I was directed to park alongside the building.nIn one of the rooms, the shower gel was not filled when occupying the room and also after the 1st day of housekeeping being done. It required a reminder after that to get it addressed.nThere was no water provided in the rooms.nBreakfast was very expensive and less than mediocre. Not expected from vacation hotel. More like a budget motel in a business district.nOverall, the excellent room view was the only redeeming factor in this property.
We stayed here for two nights in December. The resort is around a 30 minute walk from town but it’s an uphill walk so be warned - there is a bus you can get! The hotel rooms are clean, and the lake view rooms have stunning views. Breakfast is a good spread with eggs made to order. The pool is cold it’s not heated. I’ve only scored down as some elements of the hotel feel a bit dated now!
Lovely hotel, good location. Walk into town about 20 mins or few mins in the car. But unfortunately carparking is an issue. Pay for parking but then no where to park. Rooms nice and clean. Beautiful views. Bathrooms need a little updating
