Great hotel situated a short bus ride from Queenstown Central. Modern rooms with fantastic views overlooking the mountains and lake. The Nest kitchen was outstanding - breakfast was superb and we also had dinner there one night which was also a highlight. We had a complimentary spa session which was enjoyable. Reception staff were very friendly with a special shoutout to Bruno who gave us great recommendations.nnRemoving a star because of a couple of reasons:n1. Air conditioner was positioned just above the bed and it rattled which made it a bit difficult to sleep at times.n2. Service was a bit iffy - on one day, housekeeping removed our towels but forgot to give us new ones. Asked to get new towels but took a couple of calls to receive them. On another day, we ordered a breakfast box but they forgot to give us takeaway coffees.n3. Although we did like the hotel and had a great time, the $1000 per night price tag was steep. I have stayed at 5-star hotels before which were more than half the price.nnThat being said, we did enjoy our stay and do recommend staying here.
Booked the lake view luxe room February 17, 2025. It is a lovely hotel and room, but unfortunately due to the construction ongoing directly by the lake from 8am-6pm I cannot recommend that anyone stay here until the construction ends. Extremely loud in our room. Bathtub and outdoor private tub are unusable during hours of construction with the building crew directly in eyesight. The room is far too expensive to have so little privacy with the curtains open.nnThe front desk staff are lovely, and the beds are quite comfortable.
Not worth the $$. The courtyard view is a view of the guest carpark with lots of foot traffic and zero privacy.nThe room is very basic but comfortable and clean.nThe biggest bummer was that the first night of our stay the TV kept turning itself back on due to faulty wireless connection and the bright TV light would instantly wake us up. But staff quickly fixed it for us at 1am in the morning.nThere is relentless construction noise during business hours from below the restaurant and soak area. But during our stay it was hard for us to relax in our room with the rigging noise and vibration going on.nThe hotel is definitely not suitable for families with young kids, it doesn’t have facilities where our toddler can play or relax in. The breakfast isn’t continental like I expected my bad for not double checking. It’s overall more of a higher end hotel targeting at adults but I don’t feel that it’s worth the price tag.nThe upsides are the view is definitely breathtaking. We loved the location too as it’s only a short drive to town and certainly walkable. Hotel Staff and lounge staff are very welcoming and quick to attend to our needs. But the Nest restaurant staff was rude and made us feel uncomfortable.
Had an amazing stay here for two nights for a quick trip to Queenstown. Everything was great here including the wonderful friendly staff who really made me feel welcome. Room was super comfortable with an amazing view! The bed was seriously one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in I think! The hot tub soak was also really great. Only small thing is that there is some construction going on just below the hotel which detracts a bit from the nice ambiance. But the views are still amazing and there were no noises from construction at all. It's just a quick drive into the center of Queenstown which was really convenient. Overall would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! The price is a bit high however in my opinion for everything. But overall a great experience.
Not worth the price with the current construction in front of the hotel.nThe rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. But no one wants to hear and be in front of massive construction on vacation.
