I would recommend the Heritage Hotel. Easy to get to, away from all tourist in the town. Parking was great $15 a night and its first in, but plenty of parks. Service in the restaurant was amazing, food was yummy. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure great.nnThe only thing that was really bad was the welcoming, hardly spoke English at the front desk, really slow, quite poor actually for a 4-star hotel. And the hotel room service, they knocked on our door at 8am, so make sure you put the sign out to not disturb you that early.
The hotel is pretty old. Actually it is old because even the door lock did not function properly. I locked the bathroom door but I could not open it. Luckily, I got my phone there so I called the reception. We had a good time here tho! All staff were very nice, friendly, helpful and fast. Excellent service.
The hotel rooms were nice and clean. Their friendly service made the staying experience very pleasant. The only downside was that the hotel was located a bit far from the main city area. However, good for holding a function or party.
Overall, we were very impressed. The room was clean, well-furnished and warm. The views were stunning. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were all friendly and personable and seemed motivated to do their best. The gym, spa and sauna facilities were well-maintained, and nice to have on a cold day.
We had a chance for the weekend getaway to Queenstown and this time we chose to stay at the Heritage.nnLocation- The location was great especially if you want to get out of the busy touristy area but not too far from the centre, it took approximately 20mins walk to the heart of QT, there are buses at the front of the hotel if you don’t want to pay for the expensive parking in the city, FYI If you decide to walk just bear in mind way back to the hotel can be a bit of pain as the Streep uphill walk apart from that!! no problem at all.nnThe Room - The room we had was great with a bit of view from the pool, Hills and Lake. The bed were comfortable and very clean although the toilet were aged probably time to refurbish/renovate. Our room has great size balcony which is awesome.nnThe parking is great, however cost you $15 per night in the secured car park plenty of spaces, would say the hotel could offer free parking or cheaper would be an ideal.nnSorry I have to point this out the connection of the WIFI in our room was aweful as the connection wasn’t stable keep disconnecting itself all the time, can’t even get to watch YouTube or listen to music smoothly that was a let down.nnStaff were friendly and helpful probably need an extra staff during check out period as the day we check out there were 2 people working one was concierge not really up to speed.
