Went for a meal this Sunday evening. Arrived at 6.30 pm. One couple left the restaurant after their meal. The waiter did not ask for our vaccine pass. Restaurant was empty, four people came to get takeaway meals, and one couple arrived at 8 pm when we were leaving. It felt quite strange. No spring rolls available today. It was quite difficult to find a gluten free meal, as most use wheat flour. Options would be curry with pork or seafood, or maybe fish. Waiter spoke a few times with Chef to check, but no success. No effort or a can do attitude to make a gluten free meal. I ended up having a whole snapper with black mushrooms normal mushrooms. Interesting to see the last review for this place was a year ago. We left the restaurant, and saw the Chinese restaurant Cantoon with lots of people inside.
I want to give these guys a 2…Entrees we’re ok. Freezer to fryer. I had the combo. Mains..I chose the red chicken curry. It was good, chicken boiled cooked previously, more vege than chicken, the taste was ok. These guys get busy with Uber Eats…they forgot one of our mains…we called the waiter to tell him and 4 mins later it appeared……after a 20 min wait. We went to order dessert at 21:30pm…..kitchen had closed, we went down the road for dessert. Wife had Pad Thai…only had 4 prawns in it. Will I go back again….sadly, no.
Had big family dinner! The food was lovely! Pineapple fried rice was very different compared to other restaurant fried rice. Very interesting taste. Fried snapper garlic pepper was thumbs up. Other dishes were nice as well. Kids loved the roti bread and chicken satay. Thumbs up!Food: 4/5
Enjoyed a relaxing meal here. We arrived near closing but they offered to squeeze us in. The crispy duck special and pad Thai were both delicious. Service was a bit sporadic but we appreciated them taking us as it was late. Will definately return.Food: 5/5
Fantastic food, flavours are perfectly balanced, portions are generous and service is great. Wine list is slim, but grab a bottle from the liquor store a few doors up and this place is a perfect night out!Food: 5/5
Pretty sure the "sticky rice" was microwaved. Came in a plastic bag inside the bamboo, rice was dry and stiff. I picked it up with my hand and could take a bite without it falling apart. The waiter brought me another, which was the same so I asked for steamed rice instead. The starter and curry were well balanced and tasty. Service was quite good. Not sure if I would go back.
Waited 15 min for my order to be told they were sold out. Ordered the alternative fish salad which was over-salten and flooded with vinegar. The waiter constantly stalked us and came around every 2 minutes to ask if we were done. Dude we are having a conversation and dont tend to eat while we talk. Go away! The only reason im doing a two star is because the food was well presented and my wife was semi satisfied with her pasta.
Cozy and love the fire place great for cold nights. Very helpful n friendly staff. Food was average for us but wasn’t bad. We enjoyed. Thanks
Wow! A-mazing loved the service, atmosphere and the food was Fantastic! Highly recommend Carpark on a busy night in Kingsland is impossible, so get there early. Our table of 7, a majority ordered from the Signature Dishes list and 1 ordered From the Wok list, we all loved our meals. Thank you again Mekong Neua for my 1st time GREAT experience eating Thai
Amazing food and really friendly staff. There’s something delicious no matter that diet you have. The chicken pad Thai and red curry fried rice are certainly my recommendations. Their mocktails are good too but quite expensive.
