We had our Marriage reception here and had our own room in the restaurant without extra fees. The manager was very in detail on what we want, told us everything we need to do prior to our reservation. They only have a BYO drinks for only $1 per person. Their food were delicious. Definitely one of the best Thai food in Auckland City. Definitely will recommend to my friends and will come back here.
Disappointment. This place raised a few questions, starting from the entrance through an ice cream kiosk. We sat in a wind tunnel and asked a waiter to close the door. After a few minutes of intense consultations they closed another door. The wind was unbelievable. The weather didn't know the prices for the fish, asked around, and brought a receipt for all the fish dishes. The food arrived quickly. I was expecting a nice spicy snapper that would justify $42 - not this time. The dish was plain and small. Well, knowing when not to go next is also insightful.
One of my faforite places I visit very often. Friendly staff and a great vibe. I will go back again and again and never get bored of the place. If you go there and you meet the friendly owner David, tell him Shaun says hi, and you might just get a good discountFood: 5/5
Great food and $3 corkage for BYO. They didn’t give us any warning that our booking was nearly up and started clearing glasses abruptly and taking drinks that still had wine in them
The food was pretty good, but the service is average at best. Very festive as long as you don't mind most of your fellow diners making use of the $3 per person BYO offer.Food: 4/5
Pretty average. Good for byo, not much else. Quick to rush you out of the venue after you have eaten the entree sized mains...
Honestly, this place is chaos. They took our orders while a friend had stepped outside so I ordered for her. They didn’t have what she had intended to order and said they would come back shortly to take her order. By the time the rest of our meals came out they still hadn’t come back and taken her order. I found a hair in my meal, and they were happy to make a new one but I declined. When I went to pay and leave they said that the hair wasn’t theirs as everyone in the kitchen had dark hair and the hair I found was blonde. I explained everyone who sat down our end of the table had dark hair too and they tried to argue this with me. The sign outside says $1 corkage for BYO, but the menus say $3. Despite not drinking anything, I was charged for the corkage fee. When I argued this, I asked where the sign was that said everyone paid for corkage, as I don’t drink so not sure why I was being charged for that and they said they charge everyone at the table regardless. Meal portions were small, even $26 curries looked like a snack.
Great food but poor service, started clearing up before everyone was finished, time limits on bookings
Poor service. Waiters bringing food to table we didn’t even order. Getting over charged for everything at the end. Food was also bland and tasteless. As someone also with a peanut allergy, I let them know in advance and when arriving they said they couldn’t guarantee anything and that you had to order and eat at your own risk.
The service is okay, mostly got ignored repeatedly and waited forever for our order to be taken. The food was meh, ordered the vegetarian pad Thai with tofu which turned out to be excessively sweet, could not taste any other flavour except tons of sugar. The temperature inside the restaurant was extremely hot too with no proper ventilation. Felt like a sauna in there!
