McDonald's Papatoetoe

I went to use the toilet, but you need a code to get in. The McDonald’s is clean and quiet. It’s a good place to stop for a quick meal or break. Nice and calm when I visited.

I just can’t believe how poor the customer service was. I wanted to grab my morning coffee and ordered a mocha, but the morning staff member gave me a cappuccino instead. When I pointed it out, she told me I’d have to pay again for the mocha.nnI went back to explain that this wasn’t what I had ordered. Instead of checking the mistake, she asked if I had confirmed the order and spoke to me in a rude manner. Later, another staff member asked if I had actually ordered a cappuccino, and I said, “No.”nnThe way I was treated was not suitable for someone serving customers. Mistakes can happen, but how staff handle them makes all the difference. To make things worse, the coffee itself was poor quality and didn’t taste good at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I won’t be coming back.

25/11/25 , I got home at 12:45pm from ordering a Mates hunger buster, I asked to add +4 extra pickle's on one of the big Mac burgers.n8 minute wait at the drive thru after ordering, get to the last window. And got served, everything is all accounted for in the bag.nLady taking my order was cool, customer service was good.nGet home prepared to eat, and what do you know, one of the big Mac burgers are missing it's beef patties, and it's cold.nI mostly come here, and sometimes they do stuff up a order every now and then, and times they do up a mean feed.nnNo hate to the staff and establishment.nRegardless the food was good.nnBut man, be kind, we all living.

Dear Manager,nnI am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your Papatoetoe store on Thursday around 11 pm.nnI had purchased a family meal including sundaes , but it had melted quite quickly. I asked the MALE SERVER who claimed he was the manager politely for a top-up, as the serving I received was only about half full. However, the staff member who claimed he was the manager refused my request and stated that what I received was the maximum they could serve. I was not happy with the service as they didn’t try to help solve the situation instead the person was quite rude and everything was recorded. I’m a loyal customer of MacDonald why the need to be nasty let alone be so rude???nnI found this response quite unsatisfactory. It is unreasonable to serve an ice cream that is only half filled and expect customers to be happy with both the portion and the service. What disappointed me even more was the lack of understanding and sympathy shown when I raised my concern.nnAs a paying customer—especially at a time when everything is becoming more expensive—I expect fair portions and respectful customer service. I had to pick food from drive through on 4th June, the stuff took 30mins to give the order and the reason is low staff 2 people. These 2 ladies were handling all the orders without any help. If you are not having enough staff just do not take the orders. I saw some deliver guys standing in the cold for long without any answer from the staff. Please be kind to all.
