McDonald's Balmoral

Approx time at drive through 8:45pm on 10/02/2025nnDon’t go to this Macca’s. Terrible manager on duty and customer service was terrible. Told the worker at the window my vanilla soft serve tasted off like old milk n asked to change to chocolate. He told his manager I guess to get the “okay” to change it.nnThen the manager came to the window to ask what was wrong but his whole demeanour and attitude was like I was just trying to do a quick one n had changed my mind, which I hadn’t. He told me they have changed suppliers as reason for the taste difference so I said maybe the machine hasn’t been cleaned but he said it had been cleaned today n that’s how it always tastes. This ain’t my first rodeo, I know how it should taste. Told him to taste it n tell me different. He goes n taste it recons thats how it is. What did I expect like he’d admit it was off tasting or the machine were clean as often as they should.nnHis attitude n the way he spoke pissed me off so I asked for the money back. Poor guy that served us holding the chocolate ice cream ended up throwing it in the bin. He was good to deal with but the manager is a goofball! Thinks he's talking to a newbie or an idiot.nnEither way we won’t be back to this Maccas ever. My family and I have frequented this Macca’s over the years when we’re in the area. And it’s always been hit n miss on the ice cream but more misses. Because of how we were treated that is the final straw.nnHe ended with how he should have started when giving the money back, “Sorry about that”. Too late mate.nnMy sisters were also with me and they have there own families and would bring their families here too over the year but they won’t be back here either because of what they witnessed today.

Not from Auckland an use to yuk food thrown in a box so I was really impressed. I got a hot burger with real cheese. Hash browns were hot. Over all was really happy an left full. Think christchurch McDonald's need to pay attention cos that's the first time I have enjoyed my meal. Thank u

Always super quick, sometimes gets the order slightly wrong but on the whole is great! Coffee here is not so great unfortunatelynAlso just had a chicken bacon deluxe which is normally great but this time has a stale bun, very very dry chicken, the butt end of a lettuce which was wilted and brown and the end of a tomato, not cool for the price, was actually gross

Overall a good McDonalds but often under-staffed and 99% of the time I have to wait for my drive-thru coffee on 'the diamond' just out of the collection window, even when nobody is behind me in the queue.nI assume this is something to do with their service times being monitored, as the car drives off but the food/drink hasn't been given?! I don't blame the individual staff though, as I feel if they had more support they could get the orders done faster!

Took my kiddies here around 9pm and the service was really fast and efficient. We just ordered from the smart machines and staff delivered to our table. My son scraped his knee onsite at the playground and was happy how staff attended to him with First aid. Overall happy customer
