The room was on the lower ground, heaps of noise from the rooms above, shower cubicle was way small and very unstable. I slipped while getting out of the shower, and the floor was very unstable. Full credit to the owner they put me in another room. However, it is an old building, so all the showers are small. Needs a major overhaul done?
I think some people forget that this is Tokoroa and expect a five-star hotel. From the outside, this place looks tired and old, but inside, the rooms are just fine and good value for money, warm with comfortable beds. The only downside is everyone smoking outside their rooms... but that's understandable. I would happily stay here again.
The place needs a complete makeover, the last one must have been 1967 or there abouts.nNoisy with the people upstairs, if they come down the stairs the building literally shakes, small shower, 40 year old fridge, sky with no movie channel, untidy exterior, People smoking outside rooms talking loudly till late.nCheap yes but there is a reason for that, actually many reasons.
We really liked the room we stayed in, it was nice and warm even though we stayed for two nights but we loved it,great service and good location.
There was a party going on all night… music, shouting, drinking. I couldn’t sleepnnPay the extra 60$ and stay at the motel down the streetnnI have never just left a hotel the night of, but there’s a first for everything. No staff is on site, the reception closes.nnIt’s a shame that there’s repeated parties based on older reviews which is lowering the rating and they still haven’t fixed it. The front staff were nice and the rooms were good, clean and free tea, coffee, soap and shampoo which is.a nice for a budget motel. The outside is falling apart and looks like a drug house in the USA.
