We were driving by Lake Taupo on a rainy afternoon and we craved for Indian Food. A quick google search and we ended up at master of india. We were welcomed, seated and in no time served a delicious, hot Indian meal. The food was everything that we hoped for. Lovely ambience and courteous staff providing outstanding service. Highly recommend this place.
We were on holiday in Taupō. I don't know a lot about Master of India but if this was in Auckland, it would be the place to go. Great food and service. We really enjoyed it all
Lots of VEGAN options or low carb, and so tasty!! Absolutely Beautiful food!! Ive traveled the world and been lucky enough to have eaten at world class eatery’s, But My number 1 is this restaurant in Taupo district!! The owner, Tonka, his lovely family and staff are so accommodating and attentive, it’s world class service with food made with love!! If your vegan let Tonka know!! Come down to the Master of India and treat your taste buds today!!!! 100/100
Authentic and scrumptious Indian food. We loved it so much we finished it all before taking a picture. Great service. Clean place with nice Indian decorations and calming music. The staff is also nice and friendly.
On a rainy afternoon, we walked past Master of India and decided to have some dinner. WOW!!! We were welcomed and seated in no time. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Cheese Naan, Chicken Biryani, and Mango Lassi. Everything was so delicious, and the service was great. One of the best Indian places we have been to. Highly recommend Master of India if you are in Taupo.
Having lived in Glasgow and Birmingham you are always cautious about going to a curry house and this one was no different. But due to the reviews we went in. Decor is fine, but the curry is where it is at. Onion bhaji lovely, tikka masala was ok. Curry’s were great though, jalfrezi and tikka masala. Service was top notch and quick. Great hearty portions. Well done Master of India
Wow! We truly enjoyed eating at Master of India in Taupo. The food was delicious, portions were very generous and the staff is very friendly and kind. We will be definitely back. Thank you! Highly recommend.
YES. 5/5 for this delicious restaurant. We spoke to the waiter to get their recommendations because we wanted to stray away from the classics like butter chicken or Tikka masala and ended up having three amazing dishes . I recommend YOU whoever you are reading this describe your palate and have them help you try something not so basic ; We enjoyed the: Veg Jal Freizi, the Balti Garlic Chicken, and the Fish Masala. Loved loved everything. Great service. Wish we lived here to come back!!!!
Fantastic culinary experience. While the decor may be a little dated, this didn't matter at all as the food and service were both impeccable. Good value as well. Looking forward to dining here again!
Fast service and awesome staffs. A very clean restaurant. One of the best butter Naan I have eaten. Not too thin and not too thick. Just crispy. Panner Saag is superb. The Chef Balti speciality I ordered prawn dish and Mutton Rogan Josh is yummy too.
