Super friendly, great food, excellent range of wine by the glass. I've been here twice recently and thoroughly enjoyed both visits, trying the chips with caramelised onion dip, blue cheese cauliflower, and the pate - all fantastic.
Great Friday evening at the Marvel Grill at a work event were we enjoyed a selection of wonderful yummy platters, this included a wonderful vegetarian option, meat platter the lamb was amazing and a fantastic seafood platter which included fresh salmon, prawns & oyster shots. Great views and location l would definitely recommend this place for great drinks, food and service.
The food was good, staff were nice. I’m not sure if they were short staffed but service could be a little better - there were times when drinks took longer than usual to reach the table & such like. View & location is great.
Maybe better for grills but lunch time seafood was just no good. Attracted by the clams menu but unfortunately they didn’t have it that day, no mussels either. Batter was too thick for both oysters and calamari, didn’t feel like I ate any calamari at all.
Nice place to hangout with friends and pass time. Some of their staff members are friendly, while some... you can see & feel it that they just want to you finish up quickly so they can go clean the table up & go home. Unfortunately their kitchen close at 10-11p on weekends, and around 8p on weeknights; so if you out for a late night, tough luck getting any food here; they still serving drinks, though. Their price is a bit high for the portion given; and they don't have hot chocolate, only warm chocolate - though they still call it hot chocolate.
Excellent location, the north wharf is an great place to enjoy a summer lunch. Food and drink prices are about what you'd expect for the area with a large wine list and many meals to choose from. Service was good, our waitress was in training so was not totally familiar with the menu however this did not cause any issues. I ordered seared tuna and my partner ordered prawns and oysters. The seafood was all perfectly cooked, however we both noticed in our fight bites that both dishes were rather bland. The tuna and prawns were clearly underseasoned and needed a decent sprinkle of salt before the flavour of the dishes started to appear. We did enjoy the meals considerably once we had added to them, I just find it odd to have to do so in the first place.
Food was really really nice, portion ain't too big but quality is always more important than quantity :
Yes, they have Bluff oysters in January, but the Te Kouma oyster is in season and simply divine. If you are an oyster lover, try this one. When the weather is as good as 22 degrees Auckland sunny day, then this is the place to be. wouldn't recommend it if the weather gets too windy though.
Really nice food good service and view of Harbour Wonderful
Service was good but not consistent in asking for drink top ups,get the lamb shank as well as some sides, dessert options are average
