Neat and tidy with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay.nLovely young management team who I understand are newly installed and were super helpful with lots of local information and tips.nEasy walk into beautiful town where you can get all your provisions.
Very friendly staff on arrival. Rooms were neat and tidy and the room was a lot more spacious than we were expecting. Shower was great - nice pressure. It was nice being away from town to relax and we had a cute we private outdoor table.
Manuka Crescent Motel. Wow! What a place. Beautiful location, lovely clean rooms with a genuine vintage aesthetic.. ..very vintage! James and Berlynda, the managers, were wonderful people. So kind and welcoming. A touch of Northern British charm.. It proved to be the perfect restorative for Mrs Knox and I, and needless to say, we left with our mojos very much rejuvenated..
Owner was rude.nnAsked for a Debit/Visa card and then questioned me multiple times if it was my own and if it was up to date ?nnThen charged on $300 as we had booked through an online site.nnIf you don’t want people to book online maybe remove yourself from booking websites.nnDo not recommend at all.
What a find! This place is tucked away in the kind of countryside that makes you consider quitting your job and becoming a sheep. Rolling hills, crisp air, and skies so wide you feel like a tiny, peaceful dot in the universe. Genuinely one of the most relaxing spots I’ve stayed in.nnNow – James. The man, the myth, the motorhead. He runs the place like a pro – everything’s clean, well-kept, and clearly managed with care. But the real star of the show? His Daihatsu Terios. I’ve never met anyone who could speak about a compact SUV with such passion. Within ten minutes, I knew its towing capacity, top speed, and the exact moment it beat a Land Rover up a muddy track “just to prove a point”. Honestly, if that car had a fan club, I’d sign up.nnThe motel itself is quiet, comfy, and full of charm. It’s not trying to be fancy – it’s just a proper, well-run place in a gorgeous setting, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.nnWould I come back? Absolutely. For the scenery, the peace and quiet, and maybe just to hear more Terios tales from James over a brew.
