Mangawhai Tavern

I haven’t been to a pub/restaurant in a long time that had such attentive staff. Every single one of them were courteous and friendly. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thanks so much!

Great place for a lunch on a sunny day, plenty of indoor space as well.nSeemed to be plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff.nHad to order at the bar but everything else was table service. Ribs were excellent, meat falling off the bone. Not sure my wife enjoyed the mussels quite as much, but I think she wasn't expecting quite as many as she got.

Wonderful location right by the water. We went on a Saturday morning and discovered the weekly Craft Market in the car park and back room. Food was good and prices reasonable

I went around 12pm midweek so I can't really comment on the atmosphere and my score might be skewed as a result.nnI ordered the beef and chorizo burger with fries and I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a mediocre burger but to my surprise it was probably the best burger I've enjoyed in years.nnI highly recommend it.
