Such a great fish and chips place! Food is not oily, very tasty crumbed fish , wedges and burgers! Inside there is no nasty deep fried smell like you normally feel from such places. Great prices.

Where do I start with this. Me and a friend had high hopes from what we have heard from others. We'll what a let down.nWe had heard through the grapevine that they are one of the very few chippy shops that cook in beef dripping.nSo, the chips tasted oily and hardly even tasted like potatoe. My mate also ordered a potato fritter and at the time I ask him what would you score that out of ten and he gave it a two.nThe fish was pretty good, I got dory and he got Groper. But the batter was pale and had a strange aftertaste too it. The fact that the shop doesn't advertise that they cook in dripping means its most likely canola or seed oil.nAs a result we felt sick for about 6 hours.nnTo the ownernYou need to listen to what your customers are saying because you clearly are not changing your ways.nWe will not be returning unless change is implemented.

We made a big order as catering at our midwinter work party for around 30 people. I was so impressed with how organised the Maclean Street Fish Supply team were and how easily they coped with that many servings. The fish and chips were delicious, packed well and still nice and hot when we served it to our guests. I was also impressed with how they dealt with Gluten Free and veggie options - definitely recommend for a large crowd-pleasing catering option!

Amazing seafood and chips from here. We got the family pack and it was ginormous. The potato patty was so interesting and tasty, and we enjoyed the kumara fries a lot, too. We chose the warehou for our fish and finished every bit of it.

The food was cooked quickly. The chips were some of the best I've had. The fish batter was pale and not especially crispy, but the fish was moist. Maybe cooking the fish so it doesn't get dry is why the batter was that way. Moist fish is better. The price was fair too.
