Lucky Star Restaurant

No doubt in terms of food delicious this is a 5 stars Cantonese restaurant! Although it's a bit away from the city that makes no discount on their food presentation and the quality. I really enjoyed the food here, every time! The owner Tony is with great personality to be friends with Highly recommended.

I will highly recommend sweet and sour pork as it is comparable to the best in HK from my experience. When you eat, you don’t feel hard nor too soft and the sauce is so balance.Recommended dishesSweet and Sour Pork

Good yum cha restaurant but takes too long for food to come around... didnt see many choices.. all up only ate 5 dishes between the 2 of us. Cost was $36 which wasnt too bad.

My 2nd time here. I was anxious because the service there the 1st time was appalling. It took the sarcastic comments of one mature waitress to put me off the place for a long time. She spoke in their reo and I don't know what she said, but the vibe I got while she was talking over my head to another waitress and laughing didn't feel right. But my sister and I went there for lunch last week and we had a couple of younger waitresses serving and they were awesome. The food was good, although a little bit stodgy rice and buns. But it was a good meal and we were happy to split the difference when paying. So the service was awesome this time, food was good and the price was satisfactory.

I tend to only come here for the yumcha around lunch time, though I would say the dinner service in the evenings is also pretty decent. Food is of good quality depending on the time you come. Though I would say one bad thing about this place is the people who dine there, often very loud and yelling.

Very dissatisfied, I ordered the wonton soup and chicken fried rice. it came to $30 even though the wonton soup said $10 which is great price, but $20 for this tray of chicken fried rice? firstly, the rice isn't even fried properly and I had barely any chicken, and the chicken I did find was just fried chicken fat! for $20 it should at least be made with love and tasty. the wonton soup, the soup is yum but the actual wontons? the meat was pink and tough to bite through. 1000% not worth $30 whatsoever and will never be going back nor recommending it to friends or family. I tried to eat it, but I couldn't. big waste of my money.

We had yum cha lunch at Lucky Star. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Lucky Star is the best choice in this area for yum cha.Food: 4/5

Average to be honest. The fried dumplings i had were great so yummy but the fried rice ok ish. They have very small variety on the menu, went there for lunch, most of the things I wanted were sold out
