Lovely India Restaurant in Rotorua claim to have the best Butter Chicken in town and my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed ours. The kids menu was perfect, with just the right amount of food to satisfy my tweenies. I really liked the surroundings also, it was quite relaxing. The staff were friendly and professional. The prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely go there again and would recommend.
Had a lovely experience. Food is superb and actually had the taste of Indian cuisine. Ambience is nice calm and pleasant. Prices are little high in comparison with the portion served. Loved the special drink made on the request i.e Jeera soda. Try their tandoori chicken with was very authentic. Panner tikka masala and garlic naan.
We ordered a takeaway for Paneer tikka masala and ended up with chicken in paneer vegetable, for someone who’s purely vegetarian this is a very disturbing thing. Very Saddened by this.
We went as a group of 7 people and we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The owner was fantastic he allowed us to experience great hospitality and great food. Everything was made to order and came out fresh and also we were very happy with the quality. We will definitely be back again
Yummy food which wasn't spicy. However it was weird that the Alu Gobi was served as curry instead of the dry version we usually have.
Great North Indian restaurant with original Indian spices in Rotorua.
My lamb korma and 2x garlic naans came in 10 minutes and they were stunning. Delicious curry, kind staff and it was still piping hot after a 20 minute drive home will definitely go again without a smattering of doubt in my mind. Thanks!!!Recommended dishesNaan
We dined here tonight Oh boy, where do I start?? I have worked in the food industry before and I’m very understanding when it comes to short staffing causing long wait times. But there were issues upon issues that I just could not excuse. Between getting seated to placing our order, we had to wait at least 25 mins. And during that time of waiting there were 2 other tables of people who stood up and left. We decided to wait and give them a chance seeing as they were very busy. However this chance given was going to be proven as the wrong decision. The food came soon after, I cut into the chicken tandoori chicken and it was raw in the middle. I asked for the waiter if we could get it checked by the chef, and the waiter questioned us it was clearly pink they took it away and apologized which was fine. But when it came back, the chicken was clearly put into a microwave for a couple minutes to hopefully do the job. I know this because the placement of the pieces DID NOT MOVE, which means they didn’t put it back onto the grill to “cook” it again. I cut into the chicken again after it came out and it was just passable. Honestly one of my worst dining experiences in my life. They didn’t even try to rectify this HUGE mistake. So dissatisfied and disappointed. Do NOT dine here.
Had a lovely meal - the owner/staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was well presented and tasted great. Definitely recommend. With having so many food places available in that area across from Eat Street it was a great little find. Kid-friendliness: The kids combo deal for $11 for a mini butter chicken & naan was a great option.
our favorite place for Indian food in Rotorua. Better value than higher profile venues close by. Recently changed hands, now run by the chef so food is just as good.Food: 5/5
