I really liked the atmosphere of this place and the food was pretty good on top of that. Managed to get a decent number of dishes between two of us and enjoyed them all thoroughly.Food: 5/5
This place is awesome if you’re keen to share some plates with a big group in a fun atmosphere. The plastic chairs and tablecloth, paper dragon and bright colours just add to the experience. Everything we had was delicious and so full of flavour, the ribs and chicken were my favourites though. Someone in the reviews said they didn’t like “2016 pop” playlist but I was so there for it - it’s called character! I would say skip the cocktail bucket though because it didn’t quite pack an alcohol punch more of a sugar rush so I felt there wasn’t value for money there. Maybe a spirit or two added to the recipe might be an idea? Lovely service, can’t wait to go back.
Thai curry was spicy and quite good, although I expected the portion size to be bigger. The vegan dumplings were lukewarm and a big doughy, and the chicken nibbles were quite dry on the inside. It felt like an inauthentic selection of random popular asian dishes, which is good if you don't like regular asian cuisine, I guess. The coconut shake and iced coffee were decent but not worth $7 in my opinion. The atmosphere was cool, but the tables, chairs, and utensil holders were sticky and the metal hooks holding the tablemats in place had brown grime on them. I'm also unsure of when the last time the plastic flowers in the utensil holders were cleaned, which is a worry as the cutlery directly touch them and you also have to move the flowers out of the way to access your cutlery. The wait staff were great but I do feel bad for them as they had to constantly duck under the paper dragons hung from the ceiling Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian dumplings available, as well as fries and stir fried veggies
Amazing atmosphere and customer service, the tofu and the bao bun were amazing but the chicken and chips were average, I think the oil in the fryer needed to be changed because the chips looked very yellow and the chicken was a bit dry Other than that it was an awesome experience! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!
Cool asian street food vibes, great for Friday night drinks. The food was okay, the ribs and chicken nibbles were good but the jackfruit bao and the tofu bao were average.
My partner and I had a wonderful experience at love exposure. The atmosphere was unique and our waiter was lovely! Food and drink were well priced with healthy portions for what you pay. I can recommend the cocktail bucket if you want something refreshing and worth it! We got the dumplings to share, great sauce and textures but flavour could have been more prominent. If your in the area and want to try somewhere unique then Love Exposure is the place to go.
Love exposure is cute and quirky! We went around 8pm on 10/01/23, putting the date and time on here so the waiter gets rewarded for her good work, hopefully! She was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The only downfall was the food. We had the popcorn chicken, it was dry and maybe missing salt. The shoestring fries were good. However, the crispy chicken bao bun was bland, the chicken was juicy but definitely missing something. Hopefully it was just an off day in Kitchen. I'd still say try it out :
YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE… best tofu bao bun & fries I’ve ever had!! The service was fast, staff were lovely, the restaurant is real funky, there’s parking, great price. Went there on a Monday night & we had a great time. Thank you!! Vegetarian options: The tofu bao was honestly the yummiest ever!!
Ordered delivery. Absolutely vile. The buns were fine but plain. However the squid rings and chicken were so dry and hard they physically couldn't be eaten. And I was refused a refund. Sad times when you splash out in a treat.
Love Exposure was a must try restaurant for me as I have tried Kiss Kiss, Happy Boy and Chinoiserie. Their service was great and the continued neon dimmed mood lighting continued in the theme of this Vietnamese fusion restaurant. We tried the lemongrass Bahn mi, salt & pepper squid, Vietnamese spring rolls, satay chicken, bun cha along with some coconut mock tails. Some of the dishes were hits like the Bahn mi, satay chicken and bun cha, however some weren’t. Our beverages were exquisite, creamy and refreshing! For dessert we tried the lavender tapioca pudding and mango coconut dessert and these were disappointing. Overall, dinner was delicious and next time awareness of what to not order will resonate.
