I don't know about you, but when I'm craving banh mi, I want one immediately. Luckily, this is New York, and of course there's a place open before 9am at least an hour before other places!. We ordered #1 house special and #3 grilled minced pork. Since #1 contains the minced pork *and* other meats, we'll probably just order two of the house special next time. The banh mi were quite large and filling. The prices are super reasonable, especially since one sandwich was definitely enough for the two of us. The owner is very friendly and serves everyone personally. The place is cash only, but there is an ATM inside if you find yourself short. We asked for spicy but I think I'll ask for extra spice next time. Super happy that they actually left out coriander as requested, something that a lot of places ignore. PS-If you're like me and can't wait to dig in immediately, don't worry - each half is wrapped securely so you can eat on the go without making a big mess

This was go-to banh mi place before covid and finally got another one. So happy they’re still here. The veggie sandwiches are great offerings, however the old one with tofu and lemongrass was the best. Unfortunately no longer made here because it lemongrass goes bad too fast and not enough orders. So we tried the vegan chicken and it was delicious. It’s not the same taste as an original banh mi but very tasty and we enjoyed it a lot. Prices went up as they have everywhere but don’t worry, it’s still the same big size which is a good value in this city. There is little seating outside and counter inside but mostly I take to-go. Great little place, friendly and delicious. Cash only!

6/30/22: Had the "House Special: Banh Mi Dat Biet w grilled pork, VN salami, VN ham". Excellent and fresh sandwich; if you want a more meat heavy banh mi, this is a good choice

Sandwich not Sandstone is fresh and tasty, great price, great service. I highly recommend. Plus, he took the time to help an elderly customer safely down the stair leaving the shop.

My go to for Banh Mi… I have tried 5 of the different selections but my go to is the House Special #1 Spicy! Trust me it’s delicious. Well worth your time and trust me everything is super fresh. SHOP LOCAL! HELP SUPPORT!Food: 5/5

Excellent flavor and quality. Staff is super nice. This is my first visit! Highly recommend trying the vegan banh mi this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, hands down. Perfect balance of flavor, spice and crunch from the golden brown toasted bread that compounds the experience and adds to the flavor. Ordering a second one right away.

Been a while since I went but today’s Bánh Mì #1 special has convinced me it’s the best in Manhattan Chinatown right now. A tad pricier than Bánh Mì Saigon and Bánh Mì Cô Út both also v good! at $9.75, but well worth it: generous super-fresh quality fillings, savory non-sugary roast pork, and crispy-crunchy bread with ideal chew. Lovely owner too. Doing brisk lunch biz today & def worth seeking out!

Very delicious Vietnamese sandwiches. The price was pretty decent. For a sandwich around 10 bucks, you can split it into two meals. Half of the sandwich is pretty filing for a meal. There is a small table next to the window with a couple chairs. I sat on the outside chairs. They are cash only.
