Lone Star Spitfire

Friendly welcome, eager to please staff, love the buzzer system on the table to let the staff know when you're ready to order or if you want to catch our waitresses attention. Food was beautifully presented, huge servings, delicious too. Got a single serving of dessert to take away while h was also tasty.Food: 5/5

The drinks were decent. Typical bar cocktails. The service was good, there's a little button you can press if you need anything. I ordered my steak without onions but unfortunately it came over cooked and heaped in sweet onions. The ribs were really the biggest let down. They were pretty fatty and hard to get the meat from the bone. I can see the appeal of having to chew on them, but they're definitely not for me. It might not have felt so bad if it wasn't so expensive.

Lone star was pretty mediocre. It was an okay experience for 1 time, but, I would not likely come back. The best thing was the bread they gave us. The rest of the meals were quite pricey, bit didn't really seem to hold up on the quality. The service was quite lacking and we ran out of water constantly. The whole place was pretty empty even during lunch time which maybe should have been a sign. The place is clean and looks nice. I just feel that overall there wasn't anything that stood out. It's just... Okay. Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu. Parking: Hundreds of spots Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair friendly.

Really busy, and my meal was not as great as on previous visits to other locations, but maybe it was just a one-off? GRAN TURNED 91 years young and the staff went the extra step and brought her out a desert and a candle. She was happy as Larry and loved her food. What more could one want? Kid-friendliness: Kids also got a free desert so they were happy

The venue is lovely, and the staff are very pleasant to deal with. However service was slow, and drinks took some time. I ordered the Ribeye, which came seared on one side, with the non seared side up, which didn’t plate very nicely at all. However the sauce and potatoes were awesome. My partner ordered a burger, which lost points because if of its very tough bottom bun, and the chips served with it were average. Nice venue and staff, but probably wouldn’t revisit

Service slow. Food pretty bad. Squid came out in a clump so batter was not cooked. Rice that came with burrito was extremely salty and cold. My batter on fish was very oily. My partner even said it was salty so saying something. Had to ask twice for tomato sauce. No tap beer!!! Very disappointed. I know it's hard to get staff but thank goodness my flight was delayed. I went to the toilet and there was toilet paper everywhere on the ground. But no hand roll. Mentioned to staff and not rectified. All in all if I was not in a rush to catch flight after work would not have gone

Fortunately, I have had the pleasure of dining at Lone Star Spitfire on more than one occasion. Each visit- as always the entire experience is faultless. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a certain level of class about it, clean, spacious, and attractive décor. Hands down the best Lone Star Branch nationwide. The quality and presentation of the meals my personal favorite the salmon is just divine, an absolute MUST! sets a standard to aspire too. A special thank you to the restaurant Manager Chontelle, who goes above and beyond providing us with exceptional service and dining experience each time . We look forward to our next return, which never comes around fast enough.

Extremely attentive service and nothing was a problem. Booked in for a meal at Lone Star Spitfire and just after we were greeted by our server, another came up to introduce herself. Our initial table felt like we were in the middle of the thoroughfare from the kitchen so we were able to move tables at which stage we met our third server. Definitely recommend this restaurant for the service - oh yeah, the food was great too

Me and my friends went out for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Grace at Christchurch airport was very onto it and had a very bright personality. Our food was amazing. Everything was quick to come and still delicious. The reason there is only 4 stars is because my friend wanted the food as spicy as possible but it wasn’t that spicy at all it was still super delicious thank you lone star!

Long time Lone Star fan so I thought I'd try the Spitfire Square branch. Asked for a table for 2 for dinner, and when I said I didn't have a reservation a face was pulled. Waiter lead us so fast to our table, mumbled something and took off before we could order anything we already knew what we wanted. Sat for over 15mins trying to get the attention of staff who completely avoided eye contact and ignored us until one finally noticed and came over and told us no-one was on this area. Well that hardly made us feel welcome! Drinks were brought out and both dumped on the table next to me even though we were asked who had which drink. When the ribs came out we had to ask for a water bowl for cleaning our hands. One small bowl came out for both of us yuck and had no lemon, and a small tree was sacrificed with the 10 serviettes ?! that were brought out as well. The only positive hence not 1 star was the delicious food, but the service was so abysmal we skipped dessert and went elsewhere. Will definitely not return to this branch. Even if you're busy, you can still be considerate to your customers. $100 not spent very well, and that's disappointing when things are so expensive these days.
