Gorgeous rooms with decent sized bathroom and kitchen facilities. Wonderful friendly people and the pets were super cute. Only issue for our room was no outdoor seating, the garden area although nice was very windy each day and no cover when it rained. Other rooms had bench seats or balconies.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bordeaux - it was so close to town, very quaint decor and homely - our highlights were the spa bath and heatpump. Even thought its on the main highway there surprisingly wasn't much noise we were in room 14/15 and could hardly hear anything - the owners are really lovely as well, The resident cats were very cute and super welcoming!
From our arrival through to our departure, this hotel is hands down the best experience ever. Having to stop and rest for the night on a very long trip from the far north to Auckland, we pulled into the motel and had arrived in heaven. Welcomed by the lovely Linda, who instantly saw our need for a good rest and appointed a room/apartment that was the epitome of luxury and style. After an amazing , lengthy soak in the Spa bath / hot tub we enjoyed a meal in out very own dining area and retired to a heavenly King sized bed for the perfect sleep ever.nThe best hotel by far and I will be enjoying many more visits while I'm in town.nThank you Lodge Bordeaux, your a little piece of Tranquil paradise that needs to be experienced. Very highly recommend you check it out for yourselves you will not want to leave.
Absolutely loved our 5 days. Loved everything and can not fault anything. Right from first contact with Linda over the phone pur experience with Lodge Bordeaux was exceptional. The beds are super comfortable, the decor tasteful, the heated floor was a treat, the spa bath and salts special, access to laundry facilities was fantastic, location super convenient, however the absolute winner about Lodge Bordeaux are the owners Stephanie, David and their son Josh. Their service, kindness, thoughtfulness and willingness to make our stay wonderful is something very special. You do not meet people like this often, it was an absolute gift. Highly recommend staying here.
Our stay at the Lodge was fantastic! The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
