This park in North Auckland is a real treasure. It offers amazing sights of the Sky Tower and Harbour Bridge together in one view.nYou can have picnics, there is a playground for children, and you can swim or paddle in kayaks.nnI visited this lovely spot with my partner on a day I was feeling a bit low, and it was a great pick-me-up.nnHighly recommended place!nnp.s. I hope this spot stays quiet and lovely, just as it is now – not too many people, just lots of beauty.
This is just the lower part have a great little hike. They have a field where you can play cricket. They have a lawn bowling club. 1 tennis court and a basketball court. You can play pickleball on the tennis court. It's across the street from a great playground.
A lovely quiet little reserve with a great picnic area and a playground. When it's high tide the water is great for wander around in as it will generally only be waist deep out quite far.nLots of parking too and a tennis court across the road.
Little Shoal Bay is a nice relaxing family friendly beach located between the Birkenhead and Northcote Point of the North Sore region in Auckland. It can be accessed by Maritime Terrace from the Birkenhead end or Queen St/ Rodney Rd/ Church Rd in the Northcote Point. It is a destination on its own, having a picnic area with BBQ, toilet facilities, a small beach for swimming, a playground and over the road, bowling club, a tennis court and a basketball court. It also is one access point to the popular Le Roy's reserve which has a couple of nice bush tracks where you can spend hours exploring wetland and land-based fauna and flora.
Beautiful views of the harbor bridge and the city sky tower. Great picnic spot. Love the forest walks.
