Lakeland House Restaurant

The place looks almost too fancy for a young couple that just wants a hot meal after doing the Tongariro, but we never felt out of place. The service was excellent. The meal is good value for money although the main is around 40$. We ordered the Lamb and the Snapper. Amazing lake views. Reservation is advisable.

Beautiful place, delicious food and good service. If you're staying in Turangi or passing by, this place a must to visit! We had lamb shanks not in the menu as lamb racks in the menu were not available. During winter, Turangi is best place to go, less crowd and peaceful. We stayed at Motutere Bay Top 10. We will return to this place in future.

Great view of lake taupo while you have your meal. The portion is larger than normal and it’s really value for money. The pan fried snapper is good too.

Best to reserve a table here. The best lake taupo restaurant that gives you stunning uninterrupted views of the lake. Quiet and stunning. Food was great, good value for money, coffee was average however. Plenty of selection on the menu to cater for all dietary requirements. The staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble.

Fantastic place, friendly service, awesome food. Ordered a Seafood Chowder and a small fries, they are REALLY generous with their portion. Highly recommended.

Wow!! The position, the views, the smiling attentive staff and the food made this a great night for us! A very uncomplicated menu and great wine list made this a memorable night. Good on you guys!! By the way the chefs must really love their food..!

Had the king prawns as a starter and seafood fettuccine as a main. All delicious. Would be nice if the waiter knew more about the dishes, fettuccine is really rich so I should've ordered the entre size, king prawns in entre is $30 and big enough to be ordered as a main. Great place, will come again when its warmer with longer daylight.

The view was beautiful, even though it was raining. The waiter was amazing, quick, and attentive. The portion sizes were huge and the food was amazing. They weren't kidding when they said the seafood chowder is one of the best in New Zealand. Will definitely bring more people next time, hopefully when the sun is shining so we can enjoy the out door dinning area.

I am a regular patron when ever I stay at my bach in Kuratau. Thought it about time I wrote up the consistent quality of the food and service at Lakeland. My favorite is the seafood chowder but also the anti pasta is great and good value if there is a group of you.

The place is beautiful, overlooking the lake and with the mountains as the background. The staff are wonderful. We had dinner so weren't able to see the view but we made sure to have breakfast/coffee the next day. We met a happy and friendly black dog didn't get his name.
