How could I miss this restaurant for so long! This is a real gem on Dominion. Many reviewers recommended roasted chicken. Yeah, I tried that. Many reviewers also recommended fried chicken. So, I did. I will be one of them and recommend these dishes. You will know what I mean.
Absolutely divine, our first meal here quickly got us back for another round where we feasted on the roast chicken, lamb ribs were a fave and really enjoyed ourselves.nEverything is well priced in portion delivery and the taste is chefs kiss nIt can get a bit heavy though as everything is either fried, super saucey and rich. Delicious in the early moments though, worth!
The hype with Kookoo is real. Roasted chicken with all the different flavors is so good. We will surely be back to try other flavors. I suggest reserving a table if you want to eat here as it is packed all the time. All the staff were also amazing highly recommended!
The food is amazing, chicken perfectly cooked and great spice level. BEST Mac n cheese I have ever had I have had lots. Rose Udon a tad creamy but such a unique dish, very fun to try.nnAlso not bad value at all. Definitely will be coming back
This restaurant is probably only 1 out of the 3 Korean Restaurants on Dominion Road so It's recommended to book a table to ensure you'll get a seat as you could anticipate the place can be busy near weekends.nWe tried a few items on their menu and everything was delicious. Their menu has both roast and fried chicken options but I recommend getting the roast chicken as you don't see much of that option in Korean restaurants in Auckland.nThere is a range of sauces to choose from for both spicy and non spicy. For sides we got the spicy cold noodles, the deep fried seaweed roll that was filled with Korean kumara noodles and the seafood pancake. The seaweed roll can get a bit oily but the noodles were spicy, sweet and cold and the pancake was very crispy and had more filling than batter!nEverything is made for sharing so it's best to go with another 3-4 people so you can try more items on the menu.
