"KOOKOO"

KooKoo is hands down the best place to get Korean Roast Chicken. It is definitely not your everyday normal roast chicken. What makes it unique is the flavor that one can choose to go with it and OMG it is amazing. The roast chicken was flavorful and succulent, the sauce just leveled it up even more. All the other dishes were equally excellent, the seafood pancake is another dish that stood out for me. The restaurant has a pretty cool casual vibe with very friendly staff as well.

I decided to try this place for dinner after seeing some really good reviews. I should have checked the menu beforehand, though I was expecting authentic Korean food, so I was a little disappointed to find that it leans more toward Korean-European fusion.nThe food itself was okay, but if you're looking for traditional Korean flavors, this might not be the right spot. For example, one of the side dishes was macaroni and cheese.nThe place seem to specialize in chicken dishes, and there is a wide variety to choose from.nIt’s definitely worth knowing in advance that this is a Korean fusion restaurant. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and overall it’s a nice place to dine if you are not excepting traditional Korean food.

Visited with my sister for the first time this place did not disappoint.nnWe tried the Half Rose Cream Roast Chicken and the Hainan-Style Roast Chicken, both were absolutely delicious. The flavours were delicious and well balanced and the chicken was tender and juicy. It’s all that we tried but would come back to try more dishes. A great dining experience overall and highly recommend both flavours.

Although they specialise in chicken, seafood pancake is a must get dish! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside with generous amount of seafood and veges. Roast chicken is also good with the sticky rice underneath the chicken on the sizzle pan!

Went to Auckland for an event and tried to have dinner at this place on our first night, but it was fully booked. Luckily, we managed to get a booking for our second night.nnThe place has a cool, trendy vibe, and the food was absolutely delicious. The roast chicken with garlic cream cheese is a must-try!nnWe also had the Wang Gimmal deep-fried seaweed roll, tofu kimchi deep-fried tofu, kimchi fried rice, and Gochu Basak another style of roast chicken. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented.nnWe’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Auckland.
