Kingsgate Hotel Te Anau

After staying in a rain soaked Dunedin, we decided to head to Te Anau , picked the kingsgate hotel as it was a good price, had free parking and good views.nFriendly staff as we checked in, very helpful and kindly moved us rooms as we couldn’t manage the stairs with our heavy cases.nThe rooms are clean and a good size, old school door locks which is a nice change.nBathroom was clean, plenty of hot water.nZero issues with noise.nPlenty of parking spaces out front and at the back.nClose to the centre of town, you get lovely views walking along the seat front in the morning.nAll in all, a great place to stay.

Amazing service from the lovely girl on reception. Rooms unfortunately a bit tired overdue an upgrade. Shower curtain not long enough for the shower/bath even with shower curtain inside the bath causing bathroom to flood with the amazing shower pressure. Huge potential here just needs a bit of love and care

Mark & his team were super helpful during check-in and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was also 10/10. Our waitress was fabulous & attentive without being over the top she definitely deserves a raise!. She was a good laugh and made our rainy days feel like sunshine. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Kingsgate Hotel Te Anau. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable with beautiful views. Staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Its convenient location made exploring Te Anau easy. A perfect choice for families seeking comfort, value, and great service.

Our stay at the Kingsgate unfortunately coincided with severe weather events in the region which led to the whole of the Southland being out of power and mobile service. It meant the hotel had no power for the majority of our stay through no fault of the hotel!. However, the staff were extremely accomodating in the trying circumstances, offering complimentary meals and drinks. The rooms were also very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again in hopefully better weather!!.
