Distinction Te Anau Hotel & Villas

We loved our stay at Distinction Te Anau. We stayed two nights in a fully remodeled villa small outbuilding. The oversized shower was incredible. Beyond the room and well-maintained grounds, the restaurant was even more impressive. We enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Te Anau while enjoying one of the best dinner buffets I've ever had in my life ribeyes and salmon sushi on a buffet?!. And the complimentary breakfast buffet was equally good. We left too early the fist morning for our sea kayak adventure at Milford Sound, so we missed the breakfast buffet but we could have ordered a breakfast sandwich to go the night before if we'd put our order in, for pickup as early as 3am.

Hotel location is a good stop over if you’re driving from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Beautiful view of the lake. The hotel room was very very outdated, definitely needs a renovation. Fine for one night. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and Roman was an excellent server!

Wonderful stay- beautiful view from our Lakeview room . Excellent location on the lakefront close to town centre. Room was very clean and well equipped just a little bit tired . Breakfast was great and once again fabulous view of the lake. Staff were exceptionally helpful- especially Zak who sorted out a very early morning coffee and take away breakfast bag for our trip to the Milford Sound . Thank you .

Older hotel, only reason why I didn't mark it 5 stars on rooms. Staff super friendly, breakfast buffet is just wonderful, and view of the lake magnificent. Highly recommend!

We spent two nights here recently and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The service from check in to check out was professional and courteous, the team in the restaurant Roman and Roybelle in particular were just the best. Comfy room, superb meals. All you could ever ask for in a Hotel.
