The chips are better than the average fish and chips' chips. But there s room for improvement.nnI had battered mussels and they were very good. Their batter is very nice, light and crispy.nnAnd pricewise, for a scoop of chips and 2 large mussel I was just under $10.nFor the qty and quality I reckon that s reasonable.nnAnd both the mussels and chips were not greasy.nnI will be back maybe only sticking to fish and seafood this time.
Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Passed a lot of places at Waihi Beach before travelling on to Waihi as the reviews were high for Kelly's. Well worth the trip. The meal lived up to its reputation. Well done
Great fish & chips! Fish was fried nice and golden, super crunchy with a nice touch of herb seasoning in the batter. Happy we stopped by for dinner at Kelly’s on our roadtrip
Stopped for lunch on our road trip, had read many good reviews so thought we would try it. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops we have ever been to. Big pieces of fish, large battered sausages and two very generous scoops of curly fries. Perfectly cooked, not too oily or greasy. Fast and friendly service, now definitely on our list of must stop and eat places.
Great variety of options at fair prices. We liked everything we tried.nnThe paua fritter was our favorite, garlic prawns close second, and I'd certainly go again for the fish burger.nnThe gentleman at the counter was very polite and helpful.
