At Karamu we’ve learned that nothing happens by chance, we have to make it happen.

Story

We love nothing more than sitting around, shooting the breeze and slurping on the odd silky latte or just a good old fashioned flattie. Chances are you do too!
While there’s little question that you’ll find some of the best coffee in the world roasted right here in little old NZ, we wanted a spanking new brew. Something we could really savour, something roasted in small batches with a bit of love, a little bit of passion...
So in an unusual fit of spontaneity, a couple of us buddied up and decided to see if we could come up with a tasty beverage worthy of our refined palates.
Without overstating things, we reckon we’ve cracked it.
Maybe it’s our funky little shed sitting out over the water at Point Howard, our new roastery in Wellingtons newest joint - HUSK, or just simply the fact that we started with the best green beans we could get our hands on. All we know is this. We set out to create an outstanding brew. We think the results are ludicrously good.
