Awesome off-lead dog beach! Have been at all time of the day when the tide is both in and out and has been great everytime and offers a different experience for you and your dogs each time! Great in summer and also good to visit in winter too. There is limited parking here when the beach is busy but havent had problems parking here yet. Bit of a drive rhrough curvy roads to get there but definitely worth it!
A great doggo beach! Good little car park and a nice short but interesting walk to the main beach where the dogs can run. It’s nice and safe and far away from the road. A little doggo haven It also has a long drop and bins for dog bags
BEST doggy beach ever!!! Our dog loves it!! She can free range there, go in the water, chat with other doggies….highly recommend.
Dog Paradise! Off-lead beach for dogs to roam, swim and play. There are always dozens of dogs here even during the week so make sure you're comfortable with dogs, and that your dog is social and behaves off-lead if you are considering coming. There is limited parking and is a very popular spot. Not the best beach for swimming lots of debris and very shallow for a long while out but good for wading and paddling with your dog.
Great off leash area for dogs. Very popular, which means there are always other dogs there to interact with.
Awesome place to walk your dog. Great fresh water stream that connects to the sea via the beach walking track has been improved greatly
Best off leash dog spot in Auckland. Hands down! The dogs love the walk through the bush to the massive stream that meets the ocean. The water is warm, the people are friendly, and the dogs are plentiful. We always have the best days there. Parking is tricky when it’s busy. Wash your feets on the way in and out to protect the Kauri.
Awesome place to take dogs. The scenery is great too
Stunning beach with views out to the Manakau heads. Dog paradise! If you're not into dogs go to Cornwallis beach just around the corner.
Fun place for the kids and dog. Not really a picnic area like I’ve read and I saw that it says there is wheelchair access. Well I took my buggy down but it wasn’t easy in patches after the board walk. Will definitely be back but not with the buggy although the pup appreciated it after getting tired out!
