Park on gravel ground as usual walk 1min to sandy beach where you can picnic, setup your tent next to natural shelters trees and cave. Water is warm during Jan very calm beach to relax secluded and swim.
So happy to have found a west coast beach that is calm enough for this scaredy-cat to swim in. A magical place. Nice grassy area with some shade, and a little Pohutukawa-shaded area on the beach too.
Beautiful place, have been here with my family since i was 8years old&the beauty of it always takes my breath away! Awesome place to make family memories Mother nature at its best
Nice quiet beach. Limited car parks. People going to fishing on the rocks need to be aware of the high tides as you can get trapped quickly by the rising water level.
Went there for fishing. The place is amazing. Fish not so much. We might have missed our fishing window as we got very little to no bites. I did manage to hook a stingray which broke my newly bough surfcaster in half. I'll be back to try my luck again.
Arguably one of the most serene bays, thriving with life. As serene as it gets, ended up attaining the state of zen for a novice. Enjoyed every minute, even racing against the rain to get into the car to head back home.
Amazing place. Yes, the car park is small. There is another car park, but that one is small too. But there is a place to play and to hide away from the sun. There are absolutely beautiful picnic spots. Must be careful with the waters of the Pacific Ocean, but that's the West Coast for you - should be always careful. Favourite discovery - oyster heart
One of the best hidden spot in west Auckland.
Good place to spend some time with your family. There is a summit near this beach. Nice place.
It’s a nice beach. Nice to spend weekend...just bad thing is that there is no changing room or shower.
