Been here a few times now for the yum cha / dim sum. Summary is that food is decent but lacking service. Slightly more expensive about $2 per portion more than others in the region. Big restaurant and can be at full capacity during peak. Normally no issues to get a seat but it can be hard to flag someone down after. Dishes do not really come out at the same time either which can affect the dining experience. Adding dishes after the initial order not recommended unless you are prepared to wait.
We'd heard great things about this yum cha spot, so we gave it a try and it totally hit the spot! Everything was delicious, but the prawn rolls and chicken feet were standouts, highly recommend!
Authentic dimsum and lovely ambience. Lots of things are self-service, which is great so you don't have to wait too long. The wait for the food was also not too bad. Overall 10/10, would visit again when i'm craving dimsum!
An outstanding authentic Chinese Restaurant with a huge selection of meats, poultry, seafood and vegetarian cuisine. Something tk suit everyone!nnThe lovely lady who served us was a character and made our meal even more enjoyable.nnWe had several tofu and seafood dishes, as well as lots of vegetables. One of the nicest meals we have had throughout our 4 weeks in New Zealand.nnSure it's not in the centre of town and on the outskirts of an industrial area, but the 8km drive was more than worth it!
The food is good. We love dim sum and red rice rolls, and roasted duck is the signature. You should try the custard for desserts, too.nSometimes the restaurant is overcrowded, so if you go in a group, make a reservation.
