After waking every morning for years with Back pain from a very physical job and a few injuries I somewhat skeptically went to House Of Pilates after being recommended by my physio. I wish I had gone years earlier, Amanda is very knowledgeable and has a real interest in helping her clients to feel better again. I noticed a difference after only a few private seasons. I now have no pain in my Back and can even touch my toes for the first time in years. I love my daily pilates routine each day at home. Thank you Amanda and House Of Pilates, you were such a fantastic help.
Best think I ever did!!! Over 18 months ago I was diagnosed via MRI with arthritis on the inside corner of my right hip, I was 41. It felt like my life was over, at times I couldn't walk from one side of the room to the other without extreme jabbing pain. Always having lived a very active life I felt in a prison, I couldn't do any of the things I used to do that I loved. My doctor told me I could ONLY swim for exercise and not to cross my legs and compress the joint. My physio told me to start with a 3 min walk and gave me exercises. My surgeon said there was nothing that could be done and I was way too young for a hip replacement, take pain relief and anti-inflammatory tablets. None of these things actually made enough of a difference. Then I found Amanda and committed to twice a week. Within weeks I could feel a major difference, I keep going from strength to strength. Amanda has been amazing, taking me from real basics in fitness and flexibility, each week slowly, as my body has allowed, challenging me more and more. I have a new appreciation for body functionality, the sort that really makes a difference and can almost see my abs trying to break through. My hip will stay with me but so I feel will Pilates and working out one of the parts of my body I used to ignore....my core. Can't thank you enough Amanda!!!
Amanda’s classes are amazing, she is very hands on and attentive. She goes above and beyond to include postural assessments, injury prevention and pre - and postnatal care. She empowers you to gain confidence and strength. I always come out feeling stronger, longer and tension free! Definitely would recommend Amanda at House of PIlates
