Reading other reviews, idk why it's that low rated. It's a nice relaxed motel in a quiet place. Yeah maybe shower wasn't marble enough for some, but it's not a 5* hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet inexpensive place to stay. Easy drive to the lake, beach and food i would still recommend the cafe by the lake
We stayed here in November. Hotel was very quiet and clean. We were the only guests staying 1 of the nights if our stay and had the hotel to ourselves. Not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at but it was an affordable, clean and quiet stay. While it is towards the edge of town, it was still very close to everything.
Never been to a hotel before where the sign had fallen down. Bed comfortable but non adjustable shower was not good for my 6ft friend - I was fine as I’m 5ft 1. Excellent customer service on reception
Nice room. However, that is all that is nice. Place looks run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. Heaps of rubbish in the car park and general walk ways. Hotel staff were respectful, but looked like they were thin staffed. Overall, driving into the carpark was an immediate disappointment. No general spaces that were nice to occupy. The restaurant was not open at any point. A 4-star hotel rating seemed VERY generous. Unfortunately would never stay here again.
Decided to stay here as we were just passing through Fox and needed a place to sleep/shower. If that's all you're looking for then this place is for you...but there were some negatives.... In the way of kitchen, the fridge on the wall was really loud, so not ideal when you're trying to sleep. There were no plates or cutlery, the tea cup saucers were dirty, had been used and not replaced. Walls were obviously not insulated well as we could hear snoring from next door. Also bed looked to be a California King but it's actually two singles pushed together so wasn't the comfiest.nOn the positive, we would stay here again as it had all we needed for a stay over. Bathroom was nice and tidy, good water pressure. Friendly staff too and it's situated in a quiet, safe area.
