Absolutely appalling! The restaurant was closed because of a group of overseas travellers, who later kept us awake all night with their busses, heavy footsteps, their high pitched squawking, and disputes. No breakfast either. All round a complete waste of money. No redeeming features whatsoever.
The bathroom wash basin was very small and the temperature of the hot water was difficult to control. The breakfast was disappointing, no vegetables, very little fruit, not enough for two people, just full of carbohydrates. Please consider this if you value your fruit and vegetable intake.
The soundproofing between the floors is very poor, making it impossible to truly sleep at night. This might be due to the large number of tour groups. It’s recommended not to stay here during peak tourist seasons.
Noise is terrible!! We stayed in a room downstairs and the noise from above was extremely loud! Struggled to get any sleep. You can hear the water running from the tap, the toilet flushing, every single sound is amplified for you in the room underneath. Such a nice relaxing town and it is a shame the room doesn’t match that….nOnly thing I can praise is the lady in reception was very polite and smiley.nWould not stay here again…
We stayed here for a night while driving north on the west coast. The room was very basic without cooking facilities or hairdryer. However this hotel provides free charging 2 chargers for EV vehicles and the receptionist gave a very warm welcome to us.
