Heretaunga Park

A playground that's small but has enough for kids of all ages. A stream to splash in and ducks to feed. Usually a couple of dogs running around on the field.

Nice walk, cool stream with eels in it

Really nice park. There is a little bridge that goes over a stream and ducks that come right up to you if you have oats or bread to feed them. Playground is fairly decent and there is heaps of space to kick around a ball or you can run around the track there next to the playground. A cricket pitch lies in the middle of the field. Also some public toilets across the field. There is a new seated and covered here also.

Take dogs here for walks. Last visit was disappointed to see three young unsupervised girls throwing rocks at the ducks. Wife challenged them and they scarpered off to their parents sitting close by completely uninterested.

It is a magical place. A place of peace. A place of tranquility. A place very special to my heart. The water looked crystal clear today. I was tempted to drink it. I would love to return soon. I look forward to watering the trees.
