Hayashi Japanese Restaurant

Hands down, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Auckland With a bit of Korean. Greeted indoors with a smile and served with excellent food, I would highly recommend this place. Food taste is very clean to the end and is very polished. I don't review this detailed but this place left me a great impression. Atmosphere is great while on late evenings it gets even quieter. Parking can be a hassle though. Would highly recommend.

Ordered Tempura Udon for take away. The taste was okay but $25, I got only one prawn for protien.

Good service, lunch specials are of good values. Nice ambience and good seating spaces. Plenty on street parking. Popular with locals.

The food was delicious and expensive. The service was poor, the meals came randomly, so some people had finished their meal before the next person was even served. The menu indicated some meals came with rice, miso and salad. Unfortunately the meal we chose was not from the main menu surprisingly. So we paid a lot for a little bit of salmon and nothing else. A little initiative from the staff could have helped us identify our mistake when we ordered. So basically a spoiled evening.

Pricy restaurant ; below average quality We ordered sashimi & sushi today, I can tell the fish wasn't fresh simply by the look of it, and yes they're not fresh after I tasted it. Also the soy sauce was so salty, it might be good so it covers the taste of the fish. Definitely not recommend if you're looking for good sushi & sashimi. There're a lot better options out there - even some of the takeaway shops.

The food is excellent, sashimi is fresh and firm. Set menus are on the expensive side $40+ but they give you quality produce and generous sizing in return.Food: 5/5

Without doubt, the food & refreshments, the service and the vibe elevate this fine establishment to be one of the best Japanese restaurants on Auckland's North Shore. Highly recommended. 1⃣ ... and they are really friendly so no Passport is required from visitors to the North Shore.

I had a best dumplings in my life!!!! I fell in love with this food !!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
