Sushi Wasabi

Good selection of fresh sushi - very westernised in contents and portion size - to be expected given Ponsonby clientele. It’s more a brunch/lunch pick up spot but also offers some nice quiet seating out the back. The offer brown rice and decent vegetarian and vegan options which is great. It’s a functional place and the prices are reasonable. The vibe is quite clinical. You’ll pay around $9 for 6 double sized bites. I didn’t think the miso was very good but it’s better than St Pierre’s!

The photo isn't the best cos I had to squish some of the sauce on the sushi, but rest assured this is a great sushi place! When I walked in there I was pleasantly surprised to see the range of sushi available to self serve. It was very good, the price wasn't ridiculous imo and the staff member who served me was very friendly. Minor point of note, no credit for under $20. Overall very happy to know there's decent takeout sushi near me.

Chicken Katsu Set. Food was so delicious. Rice cooked perfectly. Chicken cooked great. Only downside portion a little small. But still worth a 5

It is hard to find good sushi places but this place is have really delicious sushi. Really recommend this place.
