Holy WOW. We were just looking for a quick breakfast in the area and this place blew our minds. We both got breakfast sandwiches, a hash brown, cinnamon roll & some coffee and it was so delectable, unique and well-made with house ingredients!nn5 - B&E sandwich - the chutney in this was SUCH a nice touch, so tasty along with the house bun!n5 - Geezer sandwich - the house bun makes this so perfect but the piccadelli sauce was also *chefs kiss*nnWe added this to our food list which is a big deal! so we will be back if in Auckland in the future!
Only ordered coffee long black - they make it pretty hot, would recommend them to either have sleeves, double cup it or notify the customer how hot it is.nnI love my coffee hot, and it comes with the territory of a long black, but this was too hot to hold, even on the top and bottom edges.nnI had to use their napkins to create a sleeve myself.
Maybe the best sandwiches anywhere ever. Recommend the Mad Dog, Daisy, Smokey Bro, plus all of the sweets!!!
A humble little cafe serving very comforting sandwiches, cream donuts, cinnamon scrolls and good coffee.
We had a nice catch up over breakfast burgers at the Hare and the Turtle nnThey have a very very limited menu, which mainly includes burgers and sandwiches They have good coffee and at one point people queued out the door, in the rain for it!nnDon't expect a traditional breakfast. It's only sandwiches and burgers They've removed all of that, so don't go on previous reviews and photosnnI ordered the fish burger, expecting a fillet or patty, but it was a soft mixed fish and mayonnaise concoction. It was fine, but not what I wanted. It's also quite smallnnIt is also very very expensive. $15 for a smallish burger is quite dear as is a whopping $8 for a bowl of fries.nnTheir famous attraction is their pastries, which include Chelsea and cream filled bunsall made on site, including their buns and bread nnI ordered a chelsea bun and cream bun for take away, which came in at $9.50! When I got home they gave me a cream bun and a pink bun. I was very upset. My mum and I used to share a Chelsea bun every Sunday after church in South Africa, and I was so looking forward to reliving the nostalgia. The pink bun is ok, lots of thick sweet icing, but only one middle glob.
