Hancocks

I love this cafe! The warmed up apple strudel served with cream is to die for, it’s not too sweet at all, it’s perfect. The mochas are good and the fact that they come with marshmallows makes them even better. The eggs bene with bacon is delicious, one of my faves! I just wish it came with spinach, I felt it was missing that. The buttery bread that comes with the eggs bene is amazing, it’s easy to slice through which I love. The place is always busy but there are lots of seats, staff are really nice too! Highly recommend stopping by :

Very popular busy spot. Lovely fresh food, pies where tasty . Prices mid range but we where happy to pay for the quality we got. Coffee not the best we've had though, that could be improved.

The most our favorite spots. The coffee is always perfect. Burger is 10 out 10 delicious.

I ordered the eggs benedict and requested a Fried egg instead. The staff said they couldn't do that, so I said as long as they don't come out poached I don't mind what I get. What do ya know, they came out poached. Not sure why you're not able to customise the way an egg comes, but don't recommend going here.

Disappointed to find a long blond hair in my sandwich, staff were happy to exchange and did apologise. I also ordered tea in a takeaway cup with the teabag removed. Tea arrived with teabag still inside...not my day! That said everyone else was happy with their food and the person who delivered it to our table was very pleasant.Food: 3/5

I had a good coffee and a delicious eggs bene here. There was a very generous portion of bacon which was perfectly cooked. The egg was also perfect. I chose the small portion option. Sorry about the sideways photo!

went to this cafe over the weekend for breakfast. first the review on the cafe itself - plenty of tables. in fact i believe they have the biggest floor space of any cafe in old howick. hence, easy to get a table, just walk right it. it's warm and cosy inside definitely a plus during these cold autumn mornings now the review on the food - when my egg benny arrived, the plate was cold which chilled the food within minutes. salmon looked supiciously browny, ciabatta bread was soggy and really really really oily. the eggs themselves were overcooked. berry pancake is much better. warm plate, berry taste like real berries and not too sweet, pancake served in good portions. white hot chocolate tasted too milky and not enough chocolate. overrall, prices are reasonable. but egg benny was a REAL letdown. we definitely don't recommend that dish.

The Mocha's were only average as there was no strong coffee flavour. Ordered the Apple Streudel. Was asked if I wanted it warmed and said I did, but it was delivered cold.Food: 4/5

Our favourite cafe in Howick area. Coffee is very good and great selection of cabinet foods. Their feta and spinach muffin is my favourite. Great atmosphere and cafe is always busy.Food: 5/5
