I’ve been filling up at Gull Onehunga for over a year — it’s consistently one of the cheapest petrol stations in Auckland, especially if you time it with their weekly discount. If you subscribe to the Gull email list or download their app, you’ll get a heads-up every Wednesday about a Thursday fuel deal 7am Thursday to 7am Friday. The discount is usually solid — around 10–20c per litre — and makes a real difference if you’re topping up a full tank.nnThat said, Thursdays can get packed. Expect queues early morning and straight after work. I’ve found mid-morning or later in the evening way less hectic.nnThe station is no-fuss — just fuel — but the layout’s practical, there’s room to move, and you can pay with mobile wallets like Apple Pay, which is handy. Their app is easy to use for finding stations and signing up for deals, but if you want live fuel pricing, I always check the Gaspy app first — that’s more accurate.nnTIP: Sign up for the Gull email and check Gaspy on Wednesday night — you’ll know if it’s worth braving the Thursday crowd.nnWould I recommend it? Yes. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and genuinely cheaper if you plan it right.
Great service station which generally has the cheapest petrol in the area often by quite a bit. Pro tip: Avoid heading there around peak hour times as there can be a long wait. It still baffles me how people will happily wait 30+ minutes to save a couple of dollars…nnHamish DorringtonnKakapo Business Sales
Can't even pump you're tyres up here they must not make enough money to have a tyre pump.
good location and cheaper, lots of pumps. but when you get busy, there is a nightmare. They come in and out from both direction.
Conveniently located petrol station that offers the best price on petrol and diesel. It has self service and no other service available. Suitable for car and not best for big trucks. Open 24 by 7.
