I rarely review hostels, but now I have to!nI stayed four nights and would have loved to stay for longer. The family that owns the place is around most of the time and is always happy to help. They offered Kayaks, Bikes and Fishing equipment for free and they all have an energising and adorable character.nKitchen and Bathrooms are the most spacious and cleanest I‘ve seen in months of travelling.nWish you the very best
Best hostel we have stayed in a while. The owners are so genuine and caring towards the people staying and looking after the property. The hostel felt like a hotel and had the best facilities in terms of cooking. Location of the hostel was great for travelling the west coast and had ample parking. Would highly recommend and the owners go the extra mile.
I stayed here for a week and had the best time. It was so cozy, it felt like a community. I enjoyed listening to fellow stayers playing guitar and piano. Celebrated New Year with hostel roommates watching the last sunset of the year and watching the amazing fireworks. Since a few months place has new owners, Patrick and Jacinda are the nicest people with the biggest hearts. You can tell that they really care about people and making you feel welcome, comfortable and enjoy your stay. There are plenty things to do in Greymouth from watching the Sunset show, stargazing, bush walks, unique subtropical walk, kayaking, cycling and enjoying amazing cozy hostel and teach Willow a new piano piece : Thank you, so happy to have met you!
Fantastic hostel, one of the best I've ever visited. Large kitchen with good equipment air fryers too, lots of different spaces to hangout both indoors & outside. Bikes and kayaks, games and books. Peaceful native plants and birds around, away from the main road. There's even a sauna! Unbelievably good. Classic wholesome kiwi friendly service. Definitely worth staying a few days minimum
Without a doubt one of the two best hostels I've stayed in New Zealand. The design of the place is unique and absolutely beautiful, you can tell the place is being well taken car of. The common areas are clean and well equipped, the owners super friendly and the rooms comfortable and clean. The place is quiet, you really feel like you're staying at someone's place, it does not feel like a hostel.nMaybe the rooms could do with a bit more storage, in the form of drawers under the bed for example, but that's a minor detail. Thank you Jacinda for having us!
