Gilli Cafe

Loved it! Prefect first stop for us on our first trip to NZ. I got the gluten-free / vegan dairy free avocado toast with a hash brown side. Hubby got poached eggs in 5-grain toast and smoked salmon. I got hot chocolate and hubby got a long black it’s espresso, not coffee, we both enjoyed them. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, would come again.

Such amazing experience here in Gilli Café! Can't believe they have enough space, food and desserts to serve such big group - 70 people! Food was yummy and the desserts were delicious. 10/10, highly recommended!

Such spacious & beautifully decorated cafe and the helpful staff whose smile you could easily see even under those masks! You've gotta try the Chicken Burger they got here - it's astonishing! Will come back for sure.

Second time here and I really love it. Chicken croissant was excellent. Coffee is made well too. The decor is beautiful and it’s not too busy on Saturday. Good place to come and read, write or work. The staff is very friendly and polite, and they serve you very quickly. Great on all fronts for me!

Best eggs Benedict I’ve had in Auckland. Seriously delicious. Very friendly staff and beautiful coffee. Will be back!!

Truly one of the best coffee in Auckland. The flat white is my most favorite. Yummy food as well. Now they have Zealong organic tea section and an awesome selection of desserts, ice cream .

Gilli cafe at New market Upstairs has an indoor playground Good place to have a coffee and lunch with friends and when you bring your kids together. I love the environment and the food is just out of the universe and it looks very fancy.

Friendly staff, however the order took ages to arrive, and then it arrived in a random order. We ended up eating the cakes and coffees at different times. Not nice. Furthermore, the cakes were dry and tasted old. Sad time.Food: 2/5

Came around 7ish pm today in group of 5. Place is very quite only 2 more diner other than us. Looking to grab some dinner while waiting for an event nearby. Server un-accommodating, she's like she doesn't want to serve anymore customer. Asks if you can make an order she said only what's in display shelves, after paying I found out in one of their display ads, some menu available after 6pm! Geez! Anyways, she brought orders and just dropped them in the table without saying which is which, like you have to self identify which order drink is yours. Hot chocolate not even hot just lukewarm. And when asked for my youngest son's pork chorizo roll as everyone else almost done eating, she rudely answer 'it's in the oven'! Server really needs training in proper customer service!

Great for breakfast and best coffee I had in New Zealand.Food: 5/5
