Story

Ghețarul Fox este un ghețar în vestul Parcului Național Mount-Cook pe insula de sud ce aparține de Noua Zeelandă. El a fost numit după fostul prim ministru William Fox care a vizitat ghețarul. După o perioadă de retragere de un secol, ghețarul din anul 1985 a început să înainteze cu 40 de cm pe zi. Ca și vecinul său Ghețarul Franz-Josef, este alimentat de Alpii din Sud. Apa rezulatată prin topirea ghețarului se varsă în Marea Tasmaniei. Vizitarea ghețarului este oragnizată pentru turiști în localitatea „Fox Glacier Village” din apropiere.

Fun, you can see on the ground and in the air.
Small town but loved the helicopter flight awesome,
Very amazing landscape !
Very easy and short hike to the glacier from the car park. The Glacier is shrinking on a fast pace. Worth visiting but you can not compare it to the impressive glacier in Iceland, greenland and patagonia.
Totally amazing! We flew up in a helicpter and got off and went for a walk on The glacier, which was incredibly awaresome. The sun did shine on a blue sky.. Wow! Just do it!
Expensive but oh well worth it, stunning going up, landing brilliant, try for a blue sky even better.
We walked to the base of the glacier and the following day took Glacier Helicopters up to the head. Awesome exoerience.
