BECA SOCIAL CLUB a wonderful experience, with in these facilities, very good customer engagement, very professional, and just an all fun environment. I brought 98 members with their families and the feed back I got was ALL Positive!!! Plenty of games to last at least 3 hours of good fun, great specials available and the gift shop has so many option to exchange your hard earnt tickets this will be our second visit You can bet it wont be our last Thank you Kathy and team.
Went there with the plans to try win my partner some things while we were there. Staff were friendly and congratulated me on my wins, plenty of machines which all appeared to be in good condition. Wide variety of machines to play on such as crane games, kid friendly ones, point earning ones as they use a card system not the old paper tickets, shooting ones, racing ones and dancing ones. There are other ones but this list is long enough. You get the point, great staff and fun machines = fun
Pretty large place with bunch of games available more than 60prize/ticket game cabinets, and more than 50 video games. Probably this place has the best selection of rhythm games in Auckland or perhaps, in NZ. This place is also beginner friendly. I’m at the beginning level in rhythm games and a cool asian guy taught me how to play games, which made my experience awesome and he was really good at games!! I had great time, and there are something gameon can improve. Sometimes cabinets are not clean, and buttons sometimes stuck, possibly because someone spill juice or coke. Secondly, some cabinets are working, but not in the best condition, especially rhythm games. I know some rhythm game players go to other place because they have better condition of cabinets, so probably better to keep this in mind. Finally, although I know at least one great player, some players or community are not reasonable unfortunately I see similar review, like players who are not great at sharing fairly, or person who handles the cabinets roughly, or even spill liquid to the cabinets for fun…. Still this is good place to visit, and I believe it has full potential to become the best arcade in NZ. recommend to check it out! Here are some details of games they have: BeatmaniaIIDX29 castHour DDR A20plus Dancerush stardom GITADORA High-voltage drum only PIU 20th anniversary 2cabs Nostalgia op.3 Jubeat copious Mario cart DX 4cabs Battle gear42cabs Tim crisis5 Point Blank X Shoot away pro Tekken tag tournament2 2cabs Tekken7 2cabs WMMT6 8cabs Taiko no tatsujin 3cabs And more!
Nice place, but take care with this kind of games. I played twice and in my second chance the wand go in to the Number 5, but I nothing happens! I went complaining about that and the staff said that they have to check on cameras what happened, then after the check they opened the machine to see what happened again and they restart it and re calibrated. They gave me 8 extra courtesy credits that I keep playing when they re calibrates the thing. The manager said to me that the wand has to go all the way in to the number like it’s actually happened. After they finish recalibrating, they went to their office and didn’t tell me a thing… I was waiting and when I went again to see what happened, the manager didn’t come out and the first one who attend me said that some times the wand even if it go though it has to be the exactly spot, but that’s what actually happened! Well the thing is that they didn’t came back to me to said what’s actually happened! I think it’s not the good way to treat a customer who has a complain. This games are scheme we all know that. But they could just Gould me that they can do anything and not let me waiting. After that the other games are
This is the best arcade I have been to. It is really fun has a mixture of crane machines, racing games, rhythm games, and ticket games. The Mario Kart game is my favourite and every time my friends and I come we make sure to play it! The claw machines are amazing compared to other places-what I mean by this is that with the claw machines it seems like you have a proper chance of winning if you position the claw right. Today my group of 4 won 7 prizes out of the claw machines! The only problems I have is the Deal or No Deal machine has not been plugged in on my 2 most recent visits, which is a bummer as I would have loved to play it. Overall I believe this is the best arcade, I love coming here!
This place is so much better than Timezone. Reasonably fair claw machine payouts, really good ticket payouts. There’s a candy floss machine which is chefs kiss. 50% off 5pm-6pm on Mon & Tues is the best & keeps me coming back. Keep up the good work and don’t become Timezone you guys
Great arcade with decent rhythm games especially Nostalgia. They are generally in a good condition, but buttons sometimes stuck as other reviewers and players mentioned. It’s not a critical issue yet, but it prevents me getting a full combo or perfect several times, so I have to rate down a bit. Still this is great arcade, which is highly recommend to everyone! As well as Nostalgia
The tickets were a bit expensive to get since it took combined effort to get 500 enough for a pair of cat ears. Yet the games were fun. Loved the drum game even though I'm not the best as rythem.
This place is an ok arcade because there is a variety of claw machines most of them are not rigged and the games there are great! Its full of people, but sometimes, there is barely anyone in there. However, because I am giving three stars, there are some complains from me about Game On I will try my best not to be too harsh. There is blaring copyright music playing in the background while I am filming for my YouTube channel. I know this is for entertainment, but please, if you can, remove the music? Or play it a little bit quieter? And another thing is, outside the arcade is terrible. Drunk drivers, cigarette takers, loud motorbike idiots and robbers. Just a few weeks ago, I parked my electric scooter and locked it perfectly and it got stolen. Please figure these situations out so that Game On can be a better place! Update Please make everything less expensive!
Overall, I think that this could be the best arcade in Auckland. There's a wide selection of games, and the machines seem to kept in good condition and regularly receive maintenance. The staff are also very friendly and happy to help with any issues. As somebody who has frequently played Taiko no Tatsujin here since its debut in NZ arcades, I think that this is a great place to play it at. As mentioned above, the machines seem to be well maintained, and there are three machines in total - meaning that there's less waiting around for a turn. However, there are a couple of points of feedback that I'd like to make specifically regarding Taiko no Tatsujin: The machines at this place are missing a total of 15 songs which were added to the game via updates last year. One of the three machines is also missing some songs from updates this year, for a total of 29 songs missing! This is in spite of the machines being connected online and receiving various updates over this year, so it's likely that the updates that contain these songs would have to be manually downloaded and installed. Secondly; while I think that the current price for a play of Taiko no Tatsujin at this place is reasonable $2.20 for two songs, it's more expensive on a per-song basis when compared to GameOn's nearby competitor $2.50 for three songs. When factoring in the various discounts and special deals offered by each arcade over this year, GameOn only has the lowest Taiko prices during the limited times that they half the price per play on it such as their happy hours or their 4th anniversary. As far as I'm aware GameOn beats the competition on all the other 'blue-reader' classified games Maximum Tune, DDR, PIU, etc., so it'd be great if that became the case for Taiko year-round as well. ADDENDUM 28 July: In the response to this review it has been noted that the first point, being the missing songs, is out of the control of GameOn. However, this does not explain the differences in song availability within GameOn itself and in other arcades in New Zealand. From my recent visits to other arcades: At Timeout Westcity, an arcade serviced by Auckland Coin Machines, the 15 missing songs from last year are all available one of these songs even features in the promotional material posted to the Facebook page for Timeout. Conversely, the 14 songs from this year are missing from Westcity. At Timezone Newmarket, both the 15 songs from last year and the 14 songs from this year are available. I'm aware that songs are periodically removed from all machines via online updates, but these removals are published online and do not correspond with any of the missing songs that I am referring to. I'm grateful that GameOn have responded to my review and have considered my first point, but I feel that it could be looked into further at this stage. If it helps, I can provide a full list of the songs in question.
