Flamingo Motel - New Plymouth

Love the 70s vibe. Spotless, how do you get the stainless to shine like glass? Well appointed, had everything we needed, including hot indoor pool. Heat pump, full kitchen. Just a short drive to town, very convenient. Will stay again next time we pass this way.

Relaxed clean and spacious. We arrived late they put our heat pump on and the room was warm and cozy. Loved the stay will definitely return.

First appearances the room appeared dated but clean. However we found the following-nKitchen clean, but the Microwave had a broken/missing leg so wobbled- unsafenBedroom/ Lounge, a very old dusty gas wall heater, presume not working that should have been removed for safety.nElectric plug in recessed shelf above gas heater not working.nBathroom & Shower - a screaming hot tap over the basin, electric wall plug, and the light above the mirror both not working.nBlack mould in the corner back wall of the shower and around the cracked shower dish-yuk!nThe outside lights on the deck not working and no lights or safety grips on the wooden steps, an issue when it's raining. Fortunately we had torches.nThe 2nd vehicle entrance poorly lit, the street light useless, complicated by the cycle lane road separators encroaching on the driveway.nAlthough frequent visitors to New Plymouth we would not stay at the Flamingo Motel again.nNoted in room compendium office hours 7am-7pm however the sign on office door 2pm-6pm

Large unit with full kitchens. A little bit out date but very comfortable. Just found traffic noises loud been in road front unit. Less that a minute drive to downtown New Plymouth

Neat rooms, excellent service and very accommodating. We were a group of 13 coming for an event and the staff were extremely helpful.
