Auto Lodge Motor Inn

Loved our stay. Excellent service from Dan from when I called to book, to our welcome at reception. Our room was everything we needed. Clean and tidy and nice new TV. Appreciated the 'real' milk and quality tea offerings. Swimming pool was nice to cool down on a hot day. Very close to the beach and seaside walkway. Track down is not kn Google maps so ask at Reception how to get there. Only suggestion is to add the TVNZ on demand app to the TV, as we couldn't add it ourselves.

Our experience is quite good. Arrived late as we enjoyed Taranaki and new plymouth first before coming to the motel. The lady in the counter is really nice. Accomodated us quickly after checking that our booking was done online. Even given extra milk. She explained the things we should know and instructed us where to find our place after handing us the keys. Inside the room. I find the things sufficient. Not the fanciest but really enough. Check out is also really quick!!!nThumbs up to the team!

Close to the beach that was excellent. Staff on reception very friendly. Room was ok only had fans no air con. Cleaners were very rude and never wanting to service our room. Final straw when the outside rubbish bin was thrown at the wall by a cleaner while I was laying outside almost hit me. I moved the bin away from our bedroom window cos it wasnt changed in days and stunk. No bath mats no inside rubbish bags. The 3 cleaners we had were rude in the end we left one day earlier we paid for 8 nights. The cleaners made it not very nice to want to stay there and none did there job right.

Got the correct side of the building!! Walked in to see the Tasman out the window. Comfortable, clean, spacious room. Convenient parking. The lift was tiny but nice.

Service was great can't speak to the food I didn't eat there but the menu had a good amount of variation and prices were on point with current prices elsewhere.nRooms are a little dated but good showers comfortable as beds and seemed quiet even though on the first night I had noisy neighbors lol.nI would stay again
