Fat Sally's Pub and Restaurant

I went here for the first time last month and tried their Steak Sandwich and Pasta. Both were really good and seemed like a great deal, so I was excited to bring some friends.nnLast week, I went with my family, and the experience was a bit different. The food wasn’t as great as before—just okay and a little disappointing. But I’m not totally turned off and would definitely give it another shot. Fingers crossed the Steak Sandwich will be as tasty as it was on my first visit!nnI’ve added a couple of photos from last month and three from last week for comparison.

Randomly looking for a seafood chowder and found this place! Food was good! Especially Calamari, soft juicy and crispy!nChowder also good! Owner was so nice and friendly! They have Trivia on Wednesday and Disco night on Sat.nThe MUST to visit, if you pass by Oamaru!

Beautiful building ,nThe service was good ti a degree.nnFood wise blue cod was freshnAnd the ribeye steak was cooked not too bag but no real crisp to it so very soggy but still nice .nMushroom sauce was nice but it’s very bland but eat able .nnThe wife said her raspberry and coke was perfect .nnOver all not a had wee lunch , but for the prices we wont be back almost $40 a dish for lunch , almost $100 for two for lunch.nnBut over all not too shabby , but thankyou :

Great service, great food, good portion sizes and reasonable price! We had the chicken salad and fish n chips. Both very good. Highly recommend!

This was my first time eating here and it's one I would gladly do again. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and was also enjoyed by my partner and 2 friends. The service was excellent from both the bar staff and serving staff. The meal was cooked well and very tasty. If you are ever in Oamaru I would suggest that you give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.
