Fat Sally's Pub and Restaurant

At fist I thought the meals were abit heavy in price but gosh when the plates come out the meals were huge and looked amazing. Hot, tasty and fresh only thing I would have loved was more gravy, sauce ect. Great value for money and we were able to take some back to our accommodation. Pub vibes, pub style but still relaxing. Enough seating to allow privacy. Our waiter was awesome none of this check in to often, she only came as needed. We travel and eat often and I really enjoyed it. An Oamaru must try

I would say really great food!nnThe blue cod fish and chips was pretty fresh , and go perfectly with the sauce. Pretty crispy outside and tender and delicate inside:nnThe ribeye steak was amazing. Goes really well with the creamy mushroom sauce. Ribeye of such quality would be much more expensive to have in Auckland.nnSeafood chowder is quite creamy and has a lot of seafood in it.nnThe portion is pretty big and great value. Both my friend and myself are pretty full. Strongly recommend to those who look for great food in Oamaru.

I went here for the first time last month and tried their Steak Sandwich and Pasta. Both were really good and seemed like a great deal, so I was excited to bring some friends.nnLast week, I went with my family, and the experience was a bit different. The food wasn’t as great as before—just okay and a little disappointing. But I’m not totally turned off and would definitely give it another shot. Fingers crossed the Steak Sandwich will be as tasty as it was on my first visit!nnI’ve added a couple of photos from last month and three from last week for comparison.

Nice chill vibes, good service and pleasant decor. The loaded fries were decently priced, and of a good portion.

Nice Sunday dinner, food was fantastic. Super fresh Blue cod and lots of it. Friendly staff and got a table no bother. Thanks Sal's !!
