The seafood chowder was OK. Tasted like it could have been a packaged sauce perhaps that had been microwaved because it was molten hot. The seafood itself tasted quite nice.nThe sausages in the main were delicious. Big, meaty and juicy. The gravy was a bit bland however.nThe staff seemed a bit disinterested and didn't want to be there. They didn't have a really friendly approach that you get with great service.nI would suggest that you eat somewhere else if in Oamaru

Driving through and stopped for lunch -great place. The lunch special Fish & Chips orange roughy came with a nice salad for $20. Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had! Lovely homey old building and staff were very attentive. Great place.

Nice spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is still undercover. Food portions are generous and well made. Will make the effort to stop in again next time we drive through.

It's a pub restaurant and they have a descent roast meal. I had a Roast Pork and it's huge. It's a comfort food and I really enjoyed it!

The food here was delicious. Service was excellent and pub atmosphere yet not too noisy.
