Story

Off the beaten track, Fat Cat Travelers Community is located in West Auckland! Solar shower, vegetable gardens, outdoor fire and patio area, communal meals, fire bath! Dorm rooms with garden view. 30 minutes train ride from the city center, a great place for relaxing, unwinding and meeting travelers! Eco-friendly. Backpacker-friendly!

Current Rates:
Dorm Room $23-25/night/person
Private Double Caravan $50/night total (shared bathroom, can fit 2 people)
Private Double Bedroom $60/night total (shared bathroom, can fit 2 people)

Or drive in with your own car and park for $20 p.p. a night.

All the rooms and vans come with breakfast and dinner included!

Affordable prices, includes breakfast AND dinner, has wifi, lots of space to relax. Has Instruments to play, and a gym. Has a troup of chickens and cats to liven up the place. The only thing was the cats are not fat like in the name.
Great vibes, lovely staff, cozy & clean facilities. Would recommend to every traveller who’s looking for some nice company and a relaxed place to stay also great wwoofing opportunity.

After a 36 hour flight it was the best place to get used to kiwi time and lifestyle. I thought I'd be homesick these first days in NZ, but fat cat made that feeling go away in an instant. Thank you!
