Waitangi Day Festivities was very good. Wish we had of arrived earlier to setup a spot, instead arrived at 1pm and it was just so packed, particularly in food area. Cool free event for families.
Chur. It's mean as. Seriously, Matua Shane is really helpful and the Marae is tumeke!
Our late uncle Joe Turner was a Kaumatua here. A place of safety and protection, learning and connection. Mauri ora.

Not my Marae, but it looks awesome. Sorry didnt get to meet any of the elders here.. hopefully will meet them in time. My Marae is the Waihi marae in Huntly.
I went there for a festival and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We got free watermelon and water which I thought was absolutely great. The place was well presented, the people were friendly and welcoming. My experience was very enjoyable. I’ll probably go next year as well
Tino Ataahua! I miss coming here all the time! Tha kaumatua & kuia i have had the privledge of meeting & listening to send out such a strong sense of Love & Support! Before they Really knew who I was & where I was from,Open arms & Listening ears
Nice quiet place to park up and stretch the legs day or night . Not so much at night as no lightning . But definitely a hot spot for sports enthusiasts of all ages races and cultures .
Big open area. With Marae, classrooms, big Hall, kitchen, room for the babies to pre School, teenagers. Big court areas, fields. Great place to learn Te Reo, from babies to terms to adult hood. Great place to get knowledge of kura kaupapa. Back to your Maori Roots. And Haka groups.
