Evelyn Page Retirement Village

I was told about a lovely lady that fell ill at this village and happened to be living there in unserviced area.....No one member of staff would help her with meals....She was willing to pay to have them delivered to her door etc....BUT was told because she wasn't in part of the village that was serviced it was a no go...She had no immediate family to help but this village was not willing to bend the rules so she could have cooked food brought to her...It inconvenienced them and no amount of money offered for a temp service swayed them. Ryman are the last village I would consider when and if my time comes to move out of my home. 2025 and this sort of stuff is acceptable NO NO NO

This rating is a for the onsite Cafe, located just off the reception. The manager was rude and bossy! She made us rush our order, then tried to overcharge us. When she bought our order out she slammed the plates of food and coffee down on our table. The final straw - she started to clear the table while some of us were still eating! There are lots of other local options - I suggest you go elsewhere.

My Gran has been having some problems with her heart but this slippery slide is sorting it out.nnSeriously though, the grandkids day was awesome.

We had dinner with 2 friends who are residents of the facility and we had a wonderful welcoming time. Diane was most pleased to see us as our mother was previously a resident. With dinner with friends we met both Michael and the very lovely Lorenzo at the bar. Both made us my 2 sisters and I most welcome and are an asset to the business.nAs a shareholder of the company, it was a pleasure to meet and greet you, the staff did not know of my major connection and treated us as any guests who visited.nThey are both as asset to the business and I will mention both names when I attend the AGM as a treasure of the business who should be encouraged to make full use of the contributions to the business. Five stars of an excellent quality and job well done

Beautiful condos in a nice setting. Good walking trails near by.
