Had our mid winter work function here the other night. The space itself is perfect for a function and pre-event communication was great. However we note that we were left to wait over 30 minutes to be let in to the venue to set up which cut it fine with our event, also holding up our photobooth vendor. It was communicated someone would be there to let us in by 4:30 and it was just after 5pm when someone arrived. We also note that there was no soap in the bathrooms and some of my colleagues who drank spirit shots said they tasted watered down. Also we were told on the night that we would need to fork out $250 for security which was not communicated before hand. In the booking form it stated security is required for special events. This was not a good thing to communicate the night of especially if you are working on a budget. Besides that, the venue is really well suited for a function, it is a shame though because a lot of stresses and issues on the night could have been avoided.
Friendly staff, excellent venue, large beer selection, 6 pool tables upstairs, great fries! Foodwise, the Crunchy Chicken was not bad but the rest of the food was very average and just lacked flavour. Jalapeno Poppers were quite disappointing - didn't taste like Jalapeno..
Food is a 2, but the atmosphere and vibe around is a good 4. We tried nearly all the pizzas on the menu and felt most of the basic ones were just over killed with cheese. More cheese than base which made it slightly unbearable. Other pizzas were slightly better such as the chilli chicken. Chips are good. In terms of what's good there, you can play pool and darts in a social environment. Would say go for a good time, not a hungry time...
Very cool place, if you have a drink you can play pool, or other games they have there, nice spot.
Great venue, loved all the games and the quirky vibe. Pool tables a highlight. Non alcoholic drinks are surprisingly expensive when you're the sober driver though. In answer to owner, $6 cokes. I guess just compared to the low priced alcoholic drinks, only $10 for a gin and tonic, I thought they'd be lower. My drinking friends loved the reasonably priced alcohol to be fair
The coolest man cave ive ever been in!! Great place for work functions or just to chill out with mates.
Awesome venue. We had our son's 21st there and it was a brilliant evening. Staff super friendly and helpful.
A great alternative bar to go to. Free pool if you buy a drink, darts too, fun 80s music and affordable drinks. Had plenty of fun nights here.
I hired Ellice Road for my 21st and had the most amazing night! The staff were amazing, so lovely and accomodating. The venue was fabulous, very spacious. The pool tables, dart boards and table tennis were a hit. Couldn’t recommend them more!
The pizza is really good value and quality. The $6 drinks menu is also very good. Would recommend!
